Yuki had spent most of her day in the Norite Desert, training up her team for another gym. In fact she was in the middle of one such battle with her Staraptor right now. She looks miserable, sand getting in her eyes and mouth. However that doesn’t stop her from finishing her training.

“That Krookodile is weak! Finish him off, Staraptor. Come on, use brave bird!”

The attack lands, Krookodile fainting about fifteen feet away from her. Yuki pulls out a spare pokéball and tosses it at the fainted Pokémon.

“A good fight. Join us, won’t you?” Her voice sounds kind and gentle. She hadn’t even realized that someone could be watch. That the base of Team Evolution was somewhere nearby.

Rather she placed the newly caught pokemon in her bag and went to pet her Staraptor. She places her head lovingly up to its own.

There is something almost peaceful as Yuki finishes off the gym battle. Her personality suddenly shifting from the cold intensity back to light and bubbly. It’s... shocking. The poison gym had been a bit of a struggle for her team, mainly due to her own incompetence, but they got through it.

Her Garchomp stomps over to her and she wraps her arms around his waist before petting its head. Of course it had kneeled so she could do that. Her hand reaches for the pokéball on her hip, pulling back her Garchomp and smiling.

“Good job, baby. We will get you healed up soon.” Her voice is a whisper, the pokéball up to her mouth as she looks up to Ike. Her hand shoots out to shake his.

“Thank you for that battle. I’m excited to be in this region, and your battle proved why. I’m looking to be the next champion here and getting all eight gym badges is the start to that.” Her smile only grows as she boasts her goals. The gossip she’d heard of the Champion being insanely difficult to beat were true in every region she’d gone to. So to have a gym leader almost take out her team made her salivate with excitement for what’s to come.

“You can call me Yuki! Soon to be Champion Yuki of course!” There was her true personality shining through. The bubbly nature only making it a bit harder to believe she was the same trainer who turned into a stone cold fighter when battles came about.

Oof sorry I disappeared for the last month. Life hit me hard. That being said, I see we have a bunch of new lads that have joined the rp. This is a starter call. Only taking three people and won’t do anything if we already have an rp open.

Starter for @smiles-and-nods

Yuki has only been in Norite City for a day when she had gained a small following of curious bystanders. Well maybe it wasn’t a following, but she had been walking around with her Garchomp out of its Pokéball. The size difference always attracted the attention of onlookers.

Her Garchomp had been through a lot with Yuki, and it’s body showed it too. There were some small scars from battles past that lined themselves on the abdomen of Garchomp. The creatures aura almost shadowed Yuki’s own aura, though hers was just a bit more explosive and personable that people would notice her.

Currently, Yuki and Garchomp were resting on a grassy patch of land in the city. Both were lying down and Yuki was speaking, trying to calm whatever nerves had flooded her system. That didn’t stop people from walking by them multiple times and still trying to figure the duo out.

“Oh, buddy. It feels like just yesterday I got you. I will have to retire you soon. I can’t, in good conscience, force you to battle. No matter how much you enjoy it. Maybe we can breed you with Cynthia’s Garchomp back home. I can raise your offspring and continue your legacy.” As she spoke, her right hand reached out to stroke the head of the Pokémon.

Yuki was somewhere in between towns, still unsure of the names of each place in the Agron region. She’s taken the chance to train though, having her Garchomp and Absol out together. The larger dragon had seemingly taken it upon himself to help bring the white creature up in strength.

Just like she trained him, Garchomp is taking hit after hit from the Absol. Nothing absurdly powerful. Quick attacks and scratches burst through the defenses of the dragon type at Yuki’s command.

As she watches them, she takes note of the exhaustion in her newest team members eyes. As much as she knew Garchomp could take, she wanted to build trust with Absol.

“Garchomp, return!” The ultra ball is held out as Garchomp is absorbed into the ball. Yuki takes four careful steps closer to Absol, squatting down to pet the Pokémon’s face.

“You’re a gorgeous creature. Let’s get you rested up at a Pokémon center. Then we can train some more.”
