Dionysus strikes me as the type to snort Tylenol when he has a hangover

I'm going to throw up.
the parallel between when Dio and Apollo first say I love you and when Apollo breaks up with him is tearing the entire world apart and I swear to Gods it breaks me.
from the positioning, to the delivery, down to the line before being "we need to talk."
*That hurt.*
Good Omens/The Rising Son parallels
So, I've been thinking and I think
this scene is eerily similar to
this scene.
In both scenes, we see a heartbroken and desperat lover kissing their love interest harshly as a means of keeping them together. And, the other party is doing what they're doing as a way to protect their loved ones.
On one hand, Aziraphale decided to go with the metatron and will try to fix heaven for Crowley. While Crowley thinks they have everything they need on earth and that they can be happy together. They kiss Aziraphale not as a love declaration, but as an act of desperation to try and keep Aziraphale with them. To try to show Aziraphale that they already have everything they need.
On the other, Apollo had already made the deal with Zues, lied to Dionysus to protect him and decided to join the Season for Dionysus. To protect Dionysus from himself. Dionysus on the other hand wants to just marry Apollo and have a life together where they're happy without worries. So, when the begging doesn't work and Apollo pushes him against the counter to try and stop the pestering (a mirror to an earlier episode where Apollo pushes Dionysus against the counter to make Dionysus say 'I love you' again), Dionysus kisses Apollo not as a love declaration, but as a desperate act to try and keep Apollo with him. To show Apollo that they already have everything they need, that Apollo doesn't need the fame and power.
The brain rot is real. Here's a part 2 of my Athena fic.

There might be a third chapter in the works. Haven't decided yet
