David was never one to have outbursts. They had only started up once Sing had died, and the constant emotional turmoil that wracked his psyche in the trials did not assist with his state. He would never consider himself to be as violent as King, but there were moments where he failed to keep his anger to a minimum, and, well:
“Uff!” grunted David as his knuckles hit the bark of an unfortunate tree that had happened to be standing in his way. To be fair, however, he settled his debts with karma, seeing as the the Entity had made the trees less of a punching bag and more like a glorified pillar in the Coliseum. Stinging eyes looked down at his hurt hand as he flexed his fingers...Ow. The cracks and pops of the fingers settling were not so much unnerving as the process was painful. He blinked hard, bringing his other hand up to wipe his eyes. His face was hot, both from his now subsiding rage and the feeling of one-thousand eyes watching him from beyond the Fog. A voice in his mind proceeded to remind him that some of those “one-thousand eyes” that were stalking him probably came from any other survivors at the campfire.
Had he scared them? Would this drive them away?
Most of his outbursts were contained to the trials, hidden behind “accidentally” blowing up a generator, or taken out on killers as he struck them- sometimes to free himself from their grasp and others just ‘cause. He did know himself to be a bit intimidating or overbearing at times, but punching a tree? He didn’t know how they would react to that.
David took to lowering his cap down to where it covered his eyes and set to walking away from the campfire. 'You’re overthinking things,’ broke through the voice of reason, ‘Dwight has gone through a paranoid spell! The others clearly break down as well!’
David huffed, deciding to pause his hiking. He should head back, with his hands still aching and his unfamiliarity with what laid beyond the Fog, he would really be inconveniencing himself like this. And likely the other survivors, as well- they weren’t a small group, but this realm was unpredictable and the general idea was that they should stay together, should anything happen. Turning around, the former Detective promptly realized that he was lost.
Was it just him, or was the fog beginning to get thicker...?
