Oh no, what a shame! :( Maybe you could try to re-dye the whole dress if other options are to take it apart or throw it away?
Believe me, I’ve spent years trying to justify keeping it, one way or another. Even if I dyed it black, the white threads would stay white and it would look bad. It’s just not... going to be what I want it to be. I can’t really even sell it forward because it’s not a responsible thing to sell someone a thing that will bleed itself all ugly grey, otherwise I would have liked to put it up for sale.
If anyone here thinks they’ve got the chops to separate the parts, wash the black and sew them back up, and fit into it after all this, they’re welcome to it. I also did not wash the white linen sleeves nor the collar before sewing. BECAUSE I WAS STUPID.

HOLLY MOLLY GUACAMOLE, you sewed (saw?) this?
I went to that school pretty much solely so that I could get the lolita dresses I wanted that were not available to me at the time. These days all I have left is a perfectionism that will not let me sew at all if I don’t do it properly, and too little time to actually get anything proper done.
