How to meditate on your Aradhya.
Beginner edition....
Before starting any meditation you should look for a preferred mantra, stotra, stuti, ashtakam on your Aradhya. Or if you want to do something simple, just listen to the sound OM.
Sit in Padmasan (legs crossed), relax and close your eyes. Firstly observe and appreciate the colour of the eyelids when your eyes are closed, and then think of the deity. Appreciating what you see when your eyes are close, symbolizes awareness. It symbolizes that you have disconnected from your surroundings for a while, to rest within the soul (Atman) Paramatman (Bhagwan) is seated at the bottom of the soul. Those two entities are one.
Thirdly, listen to the dharmic music(as suggested), while you have an image of the deity in your mind. Or simply you can imagine the flame of a diya. Tamaso ma Jyotir Gamaya, maa, lead me from darkness and tamas into light.
Starting the journey of meditation, you can start small. Do it for 3mins. And keep practicing. Meditation is like any other exercise. One can train in a sport for 2hrs, but when they get accustomed they can go on for more time.
You can meditate any time of the day. But mornings, evenings and midday are recommended too.
Don't meditate when you're tired. Because you might fall asleep😄.
Enjoy, and happy Meditating. It's nothing hard. This is a method to be one with Ishwar.....
Pranam and Kalyan ho.
