I LOVE Dadzawa but I HATE how often people write him without flaws or failings or stumbling at all in that role and how so many people seem to think Dadzawa and Dadmight are mutually exclusive THEY ARE COPARENTING AND THEY ARE BOTH KIND OF BAD AT IT SOMETIMES
If people would actually reread canon then maybe they would remember that Aizawa is kind of a dick and filled strictly a teacher role. He really only started acting like a dad after there were dorms, and even then it was more of an exasperated, ticked-off dad. He only started acting like a softer, caring dad after Eri became a ward of UA.
Meanwhile!!! Yagi has been here the whole damn time trying to be a good mentor. And his example of “mentor” that he’s trying to live up to is SHIMURA NANA, who he canonically sees as a mom-figure!! He takes embarrassing dumb photos and seeks Izuku out to have lunch and cares about him as a person and makes up silly nicknames for him like!!! That’s DAD BEHAVIOR
Neither of them are perfect because that doesn’t fucking exist but both of them are trying their best! Can we please stop making Perfect Aizawa and Stoopid All Might a thing in fics now please
