“What are some of the things that you like and dislike about being in Canterlot?”
Gordon? Goodness, I hadn't expected to see your face in my journal... I suppose that means this works.
As for your answer, there's lots of things to like about Canterlot. The architecture is stunning, and the streets are some of the safest in Equestrian soil. This is, admittedly, due to being right in the heart of the Guard's main force. It's a place full of wonders of arts, from beautiful musical performances and pieces, to the great library and the Canterlot Art Gallery, many pieces of which have been donated or sold to them via a well known arts and antiquities dealer by the name of Splintered Dreams.
There are, naturally, downsides to living in the capitol. The housing is, whilst spectacular, incredibly expensive. Also, many ponies that live here who have a modicum of nobility act as though they, themselves, are above anypony else in the street, and often have almost silent wars between themselves and other nobles to see who has the most clout, or the prettiest home, or other such nonsense. Sometimes I question why they bother leaving their homes if they're going to be so offended by everything around them.
Also, less of a 'dislike' and more of a preference, but I do occasionally miss proper fresh fruit and vegetables. There's something about buying an apple that was harvested that morning that just beats out on one that was harvested a day or three ago, delivered, and then sold in the Canterlot shops. It doesn't help they tend to charge more due to needing to make up delivery costs.
