Had some Medabots feels all of a sudden, and got the urge to write down all of my headcanons for connecting the original series and Spirits together (because I adore the latter and refuse to apologize for it), plus some other fun thoughts.
(underneath a cut because I have no idea when to stop writing)
- Arc-Dashās medal is a First Medal clone of Metabeeās- essentially making him Metabeeās clone brother, or clone son. When Metabee and Arc-Dash learn of this, Metabee never. Lets. Him. Live. This. Down.
Ā - Likewise, Roks is a First Medal Clone of Rokusho
Ā - Kam used to attend Rosewood Academy. He never really fit in, and was one of the only kids in the entire school to not have a medabot. After the events of first series finale (specifically the whole giant robot fight in the middle of the flippinā city), most of the rich families pulled their kids out of the school and moved away, as the neighborhood had become a wee bit⦠dangerous since then. Rosewood Academy was forced to close down soon after (thus, Rosewood was the school Eddie was referring to in the second to last episode)
Ā - Koji and Karinās families were among the rich families who decided to move away, thus explaining their absence from Damashii.
Ā - Before they moved, Koji hired Henry on as a butler, as the latter was trying to reinvent himself after all the chaos of the first series caused him to spill many of the beans in regards to his secrets. When Koji moved, so did Henry.
Ā - Zuru is a TOTAL Phantom Renegade fanboy, and based his Mystery Medafighter persona off of him.
Ā - The big robattle tournament Ginkai and Bayonet were gearing up to compete in was none other than the World Robattle Tournament. They were both stressing over it, which caused their tempers to flare- which resulted in the big argument, and Ginkai burying Bayonetās medal in the backyard. Had they not had the argument, Ginkai and Bayonet wouldāve most certainly made it into the top 10, at least.
Ā - Zuru had to work very, very hard to make sure he didnāt make it into the top 10. He really didnāt want the attention or the pressure, since he was busy training to destroy Kilobots. Unfortunately, his strategy of trying to come off as chump would attract a lot of would-be robattlers eager to get an easy increase in score, forcing Zuru to have strategically escape and win certain robattles so his poor Gorem-2 didnāt get too damaged.
Ā - Metabee, and by extension all Medabots with rare medals (including first medals), have this weird ability where their mere presence brings out common medabotsā personalities. For instance, prior to meeting Metabee, Brass was a very robotic individual. She was more of Erikaās assistant/maid, and didnāt really have a personality of her own (especially evident in the way she would always address her master as āMiss Erikaā). After hanging around Metabee for a while, however, Brass began to get more assertive, and her relationship with Erika changed. She started to form her own opinions, and treated Erika more as a friend and surrogate sister. Eventually, by Damashii, Brass had developed enough of a personality to be willing and able to argue with Erika, and scold her when she thought Erika was stepping over the line. Erika likes her much better this way.
Ā - Oddly enough, Blakbeetle has this same effect on other Kilobots, weirdly enough. Even though they lack personalities like her, Blakbeetle still insists on treating kilobots like individuals (at least after patching things up with Kam). Ginkai canāt help but notice that the Kilobots Blakbeetle hangs out with seem to develop more of a spiritā¦
 - Blakbeetle and Redrun are also totally murder buddies, if only by virtue of both being Kilobots with personalities. Blakbeetle also understands Redrun on a more⦠visceral level, than anyone else.
Ā - Totalizer still checks in on Fossilkat from time to time.
