Okay so like. Recently in the campaign Glory's been going through Really Fun /s changes! Started out with his eyes growing wider and glassy and his scales going from snake-like to fish-like, then at some point gills appeared on his neck, then his teeth uh. Went from dog-like to deep sea fish-like in a very unpleasant and bloody manner. And most recently his "claws" (modified fingernails) uh. Fell off. And new ones grew out from the bones.
So this has been putting Glory on edge on its own. But the party reunited with a.. "Friend" this last session, and upon seeing the changes that happened to Glory just sorta. Stared at him
So right before the session ended, Glory was just like "WHY are you looking at me like that? What is fucking wrong with me?"
And so uh. The npc let all the details spill. Telling Glory that he's not just a normal tiefling like he believed, but is instead descended from an obyrith, a particularly fucked up subclass of fiends in the D&D world. So naturally Glory believes now that he's a monster and always has been and his parents were right for locking him away and treating him like a monster
