“Do you love me?”
“What?” Kibum looked at the god with slightly wide eyes, the question throwing him for a complete loop. Furrowing his eyebrows, his tail waved behind him nervously, his arms crossing over his chest as he thought about it.
He almost immediately wanted to say ‘no’, it was his kneejerk reaction and it made the most sense. They spent a lot of time together but he wasn’t sure if he knew that it was enough to tell whether or not he ‘loved’ the man. He wouldn’t even say that he loved his mother, or even his sister at this point in time, though he felt strongly for them.
Frowning, he wondered if his hesitance had something to do with his own feelings. Love was a complicated feeling and there was a lot of different flavors and although he was sure that the other meant the question in a familial way, he wondered about himself.
Giving the other a small smile, he reached up to pat his cheek before standing on his toes to give him a quick kiss on the cheek instead of answering the question, feeling like it was a sufficient answer.
