My personal favorite Vi and Caitvi fics
So, this list of fics is a personal project of mine. I wanted to go through all my bookmarks on AO3, and organize them in chronological order, so that I could reread them as if they were all one single multichapter canon compliant fic (because most of these are canon compliant, I don't really care very much for AUs). And since I was doing this list for myself anyway, why not share it here as well?
This is very much Vi focused, since Vi is my favorite character. Very Caitvi focused as well. Like I said, I tried to organize them in chronological order, but this isn't always perfect, since in some cases, there are different fics for the same thing (for example, there are different "Vi finds Caitlyn after the battle" fics, so the timeline in these cases overlap). I also haven't reread all the fics, so I might still change my mind about the best order of these fics. Not all fics are consistent with each other in terms of characterization/character development either, but unfortunately, that's just unavoidable with several different fics. Finally, the fics in bold font are the ones I actively put in my reread. If it's not in bold font, doesn't mean I don't like the fic, just that it didn't fit into the specific timeline I was trying to build (though sometimes, I chose to put two fics that overlap in the timeline in bold, because I couldn't choose which I liked best). You might also notice there are gaps in the timeline. I couldn't find good fics of Vi's time in the Strike Team, I couldn't find good Vi and Jinx fics (because most Vi and Jinx fics tend to focus just on how much the sisters love each other and how much Jinx feels hurt, but completely ignore how Vi also feels resentful and hurt by Jinx, so I tend not to like them), so if anyone has recs, I'm open to check them out.

I think it's a little unfair to Caitlyn (I think it exaggerates the effects of the Grey. I also think it makes little sense for the Vi in Caitlyn's mind to berate Caitlyn for using the Grey, when Vi herself agreed to use it, but I guess you could consider that Caitlyn's guilt is what makes her be too hard on herself). But I still like the idea of Cait being sick and wishing Vi was there.
maybe death is like falling asleep by thescriptorium - not perfectly canon compliant, but best exploration of Pitfighter Vi's feelings that I've read. Also, one of the few fics I've seen that shows Vi being angry/resentful towards Jinx, and I love it.

But I like the idea of Vi returning to an abandoned Stillwater to put it all behind her, as well as the part about her finally deciding to join the enforcers to help change things.
