Perfect, now I'm a little more focused. Staying focused has always made it easier for me to complete the myriad journeys in which I’ve found myself, on land, sea or otherwise. Speaking of which, I can’t wait to send for Build Master Alric of the Builders Guild, a powerful pillar of the community, and discuss the future of Arcaster!

Build Master Alric: "The Throne Room's all done, m'lady. We'll need more resources to begin the next building in the kingdom. Wood, Stone and Supplies will cover it. Also, I understand you’re new to this land, so here’s a little local advice. Around here, we don’t usually hold important state conversations in, well, the bathroom."

Lady Iona: “Noted.”

It’s important to learn and respect local customs, no matter how excited I may be. I will not repeat this mistake.

Build Master Alric: "What will you build, Highness?"

Of course, it's not a bad idea to consider opening more relations with our neighboring nations, in addition to Effenmont. I should take a peek at the Tactical Map before I continue to expand my own kingdom.

As Arcaster expands, so will the number of territories I can explore. Speaking of expanding, I wonder if Build Master Alric has finished taking inventory of the resources.

Build Master Alric: "There are enough resources here, and the builders are all ready. Only one question remains, m'lady..."

A little bit of redecorating doesn’t sound very difficult at all. With the extra coin the advisor provided, I won’t even have to dip into the royal coffers!

Royal Advisor Mary: "Much better, m'lady. I would even suggest an official proclamation that the throne room is open to diplomats from foreign lands."

Ah, my new advisor has arrived! Now we can get down to business.

Royal Advisor Mary: "M'lady, to be honest, this Throne Room is a bit lacking. You need to furnish it better if you're going to impress any foreign leaders or professionals. You'll need Simoles to purchase items, so I'm adding to your fund. Usually you will make Simoles each day from taxes, or by selling resources that you collect."

Any new kingdom needed trade partners, and Effenmont wasn’t going to find itself. This meant a trip by sea, of course, but that was nothing Lady Iona couldn’t handle.

Some hours into the voyage, the crazy guy up in the crow's nest was screaming about some mysterious island on the horizon again. None appeared on the map. The gathered crew eagerly looked up to the quarter deck for guidance from Lady Iona.

There were lots of uncharted islands in the seas, of course. Iona had overheard many wild rumors about them in her time, some of which she even knew to be true. Who knew what might be found?

Iona allowed the crew to investigate the island, and after hours of searching and exploring they found some long-lost pirate treasure! Much merriment was had by all as they danced in the gold Simoles!

Contact was made with the insular island of Effenmont, and Lady Iona departed with promises to draft a trade agreement. All in a day’s work!

Upon waking, Lady Iona shakes off the memories of the seas, returning her attention to the present situation and the future of Arcaster.

I need an advisor to help keep my responsibilities in order. I'll write a letter of hire and send it off immediately!

Sending this off at the Messenger Post will guarantee me an advisor in no time.

I expect my new advisor should show up soon. Once she arrives, I will ask her for her first piece of advice for the kingdom. In the meantime, there’s another matter than can keep me occupied.

Bedtime in Arcaster was a lot different than bedtime on the high seas. It was more peaceful, for one thing. Lady Iona’s dreams were no less vivid than usual, however.

Tonight’s dream started out with you in the tavern, having a beverage. You called out for some music to liven the evening. Oddly enough, two famous Bards appeared and started singing simultaneously. One, wordsmith Andy Island, sang a bawdy and comically ironic tale of crude lust. The other, crooner Bikhail Moltin, sang a raucous ballad of Pirate adventure. Both troubadours refused to quit. You'd have to choose the song.

Bikhail Moltin sure can sing, and that adventure tale sounds exciting! You choose him.

The adventure song was lively, though it seemed to confuse multiple famous tales, including more than a few you suspect you may have lived. Perhaps Moltin had had a bit too much to drink? No matter! The song was rousing and enthusiastic. You'll be humming the tune for days.
