I told my brother when we landed in Tucson that I would hug one. So I did. It wasn't pleasant but I can tell people that now. So I guess I did it for the experience and the story? Idk I also really like cacti. I have one called a red headed Irishman. My grandparents have a few that bloom absolutely gorgeous flowers for a couple days during a certain time of the year. People get rather serious about cacti in Arizona lol.

where i live in cali we have a huge deer problem but as of right now we dont have a deer fence so my mom tried to grow succulents because deer dont eat them and they're easy enough for her to care for they wont die

some of them were eaten by deer anyways because the deer around there are assholes that will eat almost any kind of plant. even plants deer generally shouldn't be eating.

how serious about cacti are they exactly. do some of them go so far as to worship cacti. are there cactus cults.
