mercy lynne graves loved halloween. everyone could say what they want about an american southern witch loving such a holiday, but it wouldn’t change how she felt. it was probably the most homesick she ever felt––sure, halloween had become more popular in england in recent times, but no one did it quite like georgia. the festival in wildemount, though, was doing a pretty good job. mercy strolled down the thoroughfare, occasionally stopping in at a booth or two, never for very long. she did, however, slow to a stop in front of the local movie theater, curious about what they’d have to offer. when it wasn’t evident from a few glances, mercy wandered over to the one-man booth, arms crossed over her chest to conserve warmth. “hmm. i see all the halloween decor, which makes sense, but i can’t seem to figure out what exactly a movie theater booth offers at a halloween festival.” she smiled warmly at the person in front of her, even if her eyebrows were raised while she waited for an answer.
