What We Did on Our Summer Vacation

Here's that recap for our first day of school!

In summer 2013...

BFA student Taylor Green was accepted as one of 40 dancers in Jennifer Archibald's ARCHCORE40 intensive in NYC!

BFA student Rebecca Brissette and new BFA alumna Julee Mahon attended the LEVYdance summer intensive in San Francisco.  

BFA senior Belle Alvarez engaged in Dance Studies at the University of Auckland and said "It's been really inspiring to do this sort of trip. I can't wait to take what I've learned into my senior year!"  See her video here: http://templeuniversitydancedept.tumblr.com/post/52140111781

Won the first NDEO Outstanding Dance Education Researcher Award  

Welcomed a rock star professor 

Performed at the Barnes Foundation 

Won a major poetry prize 

Released a new book on contemporary dance history 

Danced in the air over a river (and sang!)

Became Temple's "Miss/Mr. July" 

Experimented in Berlin on a Fulbright scholarship 

Launched a new dance collective 

Were selected for the for the PHL/Budapest Bilateral Artists Exchange

Worked with human trafficking survivors in Vietnam 

And were chosen to show choreography 

Phew!  Good thing school is starting again!
