‘   i didn’t fucking move to each bumfuck nowhere to have you find me here, aiden !   ’ magnolia’s voice was a low growl, her anger bubbling a stir of magic, causing the wind to blow around them as a warning. something she was still working to control, day by day. 

though truth be told, the witch could not pin point WHY it was she & her family chose riverdale. at first sight, it’s quiet and quaint. but anyone who steps foot here knows it’s just as deadly as the neighboring town of greendale. but regardless, she was here. with her family that she planned on keeping safe. they did her entire life, so it was her turn to keep them safe.

‘   my suggestion would be for you to FUCK OFF back to hell or wherever you half bloods live. i’m not the little girl you fucked with in the past------   ’ though her words were cut off when she felt aiden’s hands around her biceps, moving her backwards towards the wall. she didn’t want to do this now. not here. not when it was her second day at school. she couldn’t do another move.

‘   get the fuck off------   ’ cue a knight in shining armor.

             T H A N K Y O U ----------- it shouldn’t have been such a hard word to say,          and yet to even allow herself to admin that she had needed  H E L P  was where the struggle came from, the struggle to honestly and openly allow herself to just simply be her.                         ‘ I don’t understand why you did what you did, s t r i p  away a choice that I made and drag me back to an existence I had chosen to not be a part of,  b u t  i’m glad that you did. ‘ Cheryl’s words were quiet, s i l e n t  hope that he would understand her thanks without her having to even speak those words.

Erica felt bad for how she had left the party.  She didn’t regret it per se, because she had needed to get out of there as soon as possible, but she felt bad for leaving Archie without saying anything.  The truth was, she wasn’t sure she deserved to be the one on Archie’s arm.  Not yet, anyways.  She felt like she needed to prove herself.  It was why she had gone back to the rock wall after class.  She had wanted to prove that she wasn’t a quitter, that she wasn’t some freak, and that people should respect her like they did everyone else.  Of course, then she’d had a seizure and been taken to the hospital, and she had thought her chances of being someone worthy of calling Archie hers we had gone out the window.  Then Derek Hale entered her life and changed everything.

The next day, she walked into school feeling confident as all hell.  She knew she looked hot, and she was ready to show the whole school that Erica Reyes was no longer the pariah they had mocked.  She was a total bombshell and, to the certain remorse of all of the single (and some not single) guys at Beacon Hills High, there was one guy she wanted to show it off to.  Strutting into the lunch room, she looked around and smirked at the reactions of her peers.  She made her way to where Archie was waiting for her, and instead of sliding into her seat across from him, she plopped herself down on his lap.  “Hey you.  Miss me?”

“Livin’ large I tell ya.” He teased her back playfully. He was nice to have a moment of normalcy between them no matter how fleeting it may be. He quickly hopped into her car once the seat was free, smirking silently at the organization of her mobile office. When they made it to Pop’s, Archie’s brow rose at her question. “Mmm Strawberry for sure.” He hummed happily. “Want me to get us a booth?”

Betty shoo’d off Archie as she approached the counter, saving a waitress bussing their table. She quickly ordered two strawberry shakes and some churros before joining Archie in the booth he had selected for them. One leg tucked up under the other as she folded her arms atop of the table as she locked eyes with her oldest and dearest friend; “I feel like I’ve hardly seen you recently, Arch... What’s kept you so busy?” There was no accusing tone there, no malice. Just interest. The young investigative journalist wasn’t interrogating him.

               betty  spots  her  best  friend  just  down  the  hall  at  his  locker  alone  ,  veronica  oddly  nowhere  in  sight  as  she  makes  her  way  toward  him  ,  offering  a  smile  as  he  shuts  the  metal  door  after  grabbing  his  books  .  ❛  hey  ,  arch  .  i  was  wondering  if  you’d  like  to  go  to  pop’s  after  school  for  milkshakes  ?  it’s  been  a  while  since  the  two  of  us  have  spent  time  together  .  only  if  you  don’t  already  have  plans  ,  of  course  .  ❜

Maya hated this.  She loved that she was going to be closer to Jughead every day, but the fact that she could only really get that by attending Riverdale High was her worst nightmare.  Adjusting her messenger bag over her shoulder, she walked up the steps to the school, looking around for a familiar, friendly face.  The first one she saw, while familiar, was not exactly what she’d consider “friendly”.  However, since Archie Andrews was probably her best bet at finding Jughead, she walked up to him anyways.  “Have you seen my best friend?”

“Oh, Mi Amor, trust me,” she whispered with a smirk. “I know  that you have moves.” She was sure that Archie would do quite well with salsa or else there was no way he would be such an incredible lover. “But-,” she ran her fingers gently down his chest. “It doesn’t mean we can’t bring more flavor to this hips of yours.” Salsa was one of her favorite things to do and sharing it with Archie was actually quite special to her. And maybe just maybe she would find it really sexy if he could move her around the dance floor. Though that was strictly just a bonus.   “Okay, Archiekins. Salsa is actually much easier than it appears.” She stood next to him, getting herself into position. “You’re going to step forward with your left leg, slight hip sway, but keep your arms casual. Then back to center.” She demonstrated for him, her dark eyes meeting up with his light ones. “Got it so far?”

the moon was beating down on them, full, bright, & beautiful. the cool, spring air caressed their cheeks as the two silently sat with one another, knees touching, fingers laced, enjoying each other’s company. so when archie stood, the witch’s cerulean gaze focusing curiously on the redhead, then his outstretched hand. the softest of chuckles left her lips as she took his hand, rising to her feet --- arms wrapping around his neck as she tucked herself into him, gently moving side to side to his humming in her ear. heart quickened & slowed, cheeks blooming to summer roses --- the heat rising to the tips of her ears. 

ocean eyes fell shut, archie’s body keeping her body warm with his embrace --- arms around her waist, mouth pressed to her ear. humming turning into words, ‘ ------ kiss me like you wanna be loved...   ’ he sang quietly into her ear, ‘   --- this feels like falling in love...   ’ 

a chill traveled down the witch’s spine, head raising as eyes fluttered open, hand moving to archie’s cheek, only to press her lips to his, ‘  --- falling in love...   ’ she continued against his mouth, ‘   we’re falling in love.   ’
