Is Shiloh amab or afab?

This was sent a while ago but I just want to put it out there and address this- I am most certainly not going to answer this question, and it is very much inappropriate to ask. In the same way that it would be extremely rude to ask somebody in real life what their genitals are or what surgeries they've had. That is private information and there is no reason you need to know.

In the case of this character, there is also literally no way you would know. You don't even know what their face looks like, so I'm not sure why you would expect to know intimate details of their past.

While I don't know if this anon in particular was aware that this is a disrespectful question to ask, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, please keep that in mind in the future.

10: What do they fantasize about? (I'm gonna interpret this in a non-NSFW way haha)

Etienne: You should know by now that this one isn't the type for frivolities like "fantasizing"

Maryam: Cheesy, I know, but I think she is the type of person who regularly fantasizes about her future wedding and what it would be like. She has googled wedding venues several times despite never having any serious relationships.

Shiloh: One day they wish they could move out into the forest, somewhere really remote but close enough to civilization to drive into town when they feel like it. Maybe a little cabin. That would be nice.

39: What’s one skill they wish they had?

Etienne: People skills, haha. He's absolutely shit at talking to people, and even though he doesn't really like it anyway, it would be nice to have the skills required to do it anyway. He tends to make bad impressions.

Maryam: She wishes she were more athletic. She gets tired easily when doing things like going on long walks and isn't in the best shape, not to mention she's got basically no upper body strength. But there's only so much time in the day to like, go to the gym.

Shiloh: Understanding their divination better. They certainly do it, and there's certainly nobody in the world who can interpret it better than them, but they are far from talented at, like, figuring out what it all means and what to do because of it. Which is pretty important.

I mean, I guess it depends on the kind of mask. What's it made of? What's it look like? Is it comfy? Regardless, it would probably be one of the nicest gifts they've gotten from somebody and they would proudly present it, haha.

There will be plenty of opportunities for playful teasing in his route (he is definitely a fan of feistier folks, so a lot of flirty options for him will be snarky!) One of the stats in the game is also Cruelty, and each route will have its fair share of options to be cruel to the people around you (However sad that will make me when I write Maryam's route)

Maybe be careful with that though- sometimes when you treat people like shit, they'll escalate even further. Consider yourself warned!

👤 - what's the origin behind their name? [either within or outside of their lore]

I'm just going to assume you mean for all of the characters, and I'm going to go with outside of lore because it's probably more interesting!

Etienne (Gauthier):

I already knew Etienne was gonna be French Canadian, so I tried to choose names that were present and relatively common in Quebec but also fit the ~vibe~. I went with Etienne because it feels like a somewhat "pretty" name, and I thought it contrasted nicely with his actual personality. I went with Gauthier cause I wanted to choose a French surname I was well aware of, but also wasn't the name of somebody in my family, haha.

Maryam (Nasri):

Kind of like Etienne, I knew that she was going to be Arab before I chose her name. I came up with her name, nationality, and faceclaim all at the same time, cause it all sort of relies on each other- you have to make sure you find a faceclaim that fits with how you view them, a nationality that makes sense with their appearance, a name that's realistic for that nationality... etc. Maryam is a lovely name that fits her vibe, not to mention the origin of it fits with her character arc. And Nasri... not gonna lie, chose it cause it sounds similar to the GarfieldEATS guy's name (deep Toronto lore).

Shiloh (Lam):

In case you aren't familiar with Vietnamese family names, 90% of people have one of the 14 most common ones. It probably would have been a safer bet to go with one of them, but ultimately I decided on something I felt "flowed" well with their first name. As for their first name, it's very common for (especially Eastern) Asian parents in Canada to choose non-Asian personal names, and I thought Shiloh worked well as a mysterious-sounding and gender-neutral name that's always Biblical in origin (names that are religious in origin are very popular in the cult!).

10: what do they do in their free time

Etienne isn't the most complex person (as he would tell you himself), he doesn't exactly have many interests outside of his job. He really enjoys cooking, but other than that, he mostly just watches TV. He dabbles in multiplayer video games (mostly MOBAs) but he's both super competetive and very bad at them so it's not exactly a good way to unwind. Also, very good at cards.

You would assume Maryam would enjoy reading, but honestly? She's gotten kind of tired of books since being around them 24/7, and she gets most of her entertainment through audiobooks or podcasts. She also keeps several different bullet journals for different purposes, which she is so invested in that they probably count as a fully fledged hobby. Though she dabbles in cross stitching, she's not very good at it, and the backs of her projects always look like shit.

Shiloh doesn't have much free time! They spend most of their time attempting to recieve visions through various (highly questionable) means. When they aren't doing that, you can often find them listening to music or playing indie games. They are super into geology and like watching videos about it or reading books about it, along with having a collection of minerals and crystals and stuff.
