Architect | Fifth Artefact of Ten
Every one of the Architect Madrigals has their own Artefacts, and typically theses hold fractions of their power inside. Granting non-magic a gift or, those with gifts, enhancing the gift they already have when wearing them.
Typically, the artefacts are best suited with the counterpart variants of the Architects. Given the unique nature of the objects and great power that comes with them, the architects can find them in a heartbeat, if they choose to misplace it or give it to mortal hands, then they know where to look first. Given the artefacts are theirs, they can change what it is, reshape them to something else entirely but that doesn’t effect how they work in mortal hands
Architect Mirabel | Glasses
One of the typical trademark of Mirabel are her glasses so it’s to no surprise her glasses would be such an artefact that holds great power by her Architect counterpart.
The rim is lightly engraved with a soft glow to them, the glasses are unbreakable and the lenses are also provide more than just vision correction. Like most artefacts, the glasses can’t be removed other than the will of the user; the glasses bond with the user’s mind. Of course, someone could take the glasses if the user happens to sleep and take them off so the glasses are tied psychically to the user; they can’t be picked up; those that try the glasses wake the user as they’re tied to each other until the user decides to unbond.
As Architect Mirabel is a Mind-based construct, the gifts that the glasses hold reflect such a fact.
Perfect sight
Empathy
Telepathy
Illusions
Persuasion
Mind control
Telekinesis
These gifts are strong but variable in strengths depending on the mental discipline of the user. Not all gifts of the artefact will be accessible, again varying on the mental discipline and strength of the user and some gifts being used via the glasses can’t be channelled at the same time either, like telepathy and telekinesis; one or the other at a single time.
As the glasses are tied to the mind, they respond to thought, much like Architect Pepa’s arm bracers so switching the gifts channelled are simple but can be dissertating for the user when first getting used to them.
