It isn't more than a 15 minute walk, but for me, the moment I step outside on Union Station and onto Massachusetts Avenue, it is like coming home. As I walk towards the Capitol, the domestic is often all lit up and acts like a homing beacon. If it is during the day and I don't have a lot of luggage, I often walk down Capitol Hill and to the National Mall.
