Architecture Never Sleeps - in Ultimo
Yesterday we saw a Tweet by Artichoke Magazine about a new blog called ArchitectureNeverSleeps - about sleeping architecture students. It made us smile - it was such a perfectly pitched commentary about architecture students in universities all over the world ... they love boasting about how many sleepless nights they've spent working on a project - and then proceed to sleep throughout the day's classes.
As this blog went viral yesterday, we just assumed that it was some US or Canadian college kid, from a fancy private college, just having fun on Tumblr.
Sure, the surroundings looked familiar - but all lecture theatres and studios look the same, don't they?
Then we mentioned the blog to a colleague - she teaches in the School of Architecture at UTS (University of Technology Sydney). She took one look at the blog and said, "Those are MY students!"
Oh yes - ArchitectureNeverSleeps is a proud product of UTS students.
Made in Ultimo.
