Fished Arc park on 11-8-23. Weather was mid 80s and partly cloudy with light breezes. The fish were active a bit on the surface. Bass were occasionally rolling. I cast a size 8 orange morphing mighty micro to a nearby roll and hooked up on the first cast. I had a 6lb test leader and I didn't want to break it off. I lost the fish due to playing it poorly. My rod tip should have been lower to the water or maybe tried to point it at the bass when it jumped. It threw the fly. At least I didn't lose one of my favorites. The bass was a good fun size. It was probably a little over 2lbs. The top two fish were caught on a new fly I am working on. The tail has feathers and silly legs. The bottom blue gill was caught on a small black and purple clouser.
