ALSO YES I’M A HUGE INSIDIOUS FAN THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THE MOVIES I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO EXPRESS MYSELF!! I loved the third movie because Elise is just badass despite what happens.

I love the cinematography so much too... it adapts so many things from old school horror movies but gives ‘em a twist and I just- YES I LOVE INSIDIOUS!!!! ;u;

As for the 2nd part of Conjuring. I honestly enjoyed it! I’ll try to be as non-spoilery as I can lol

The imagery was stronger, more “disturbing” so to speak but not in a cheesy way I think. There’s obviously the theme of possession in the movie but it was done in a slightly different way, with a little twist that made all the difference for me.

The real reason as to why I enjoyed this one much more than the first was because I’ve been obsessed with the Enfield poltergeist during my “paranormal” phase lmao I’ve read so much about it and watched quite some documentaries too! (Here’s one if you’re interested, I thought it was the most thorough and complete) I may be a little biased but I have a soft spot for this case because I remember being so fascinated by it all a few years back.

That aside, the pacing is good, the scares are definitely not for the weak of heart (there are jump scares but they’re done tastefully I think like, they are there with a context and a purpose imo) and it solves a mystery from the first movie too! C:

Vera Farmiga’s acting is A++++ too, that woman is so ridiculously pretty I s2g ;;
