[ .... ] ever since he and maggie had come back from woodbury, glenn had been placing himself in an isolated box. he didn't mean to shut anyone out, especially maggie, but the amount of guilt he that was consuming him from the inside out was enough to make him do rash and selfish things. he had been spending nights alone in the watch tower, refusing to sleep or even go so long without eating, all his thoughts engulfed in the haunting memory of what happened to him and to the love of his life. he couldn't look at her ... it just reminded him of the failure that he was. the one thing he was supposed to do, protect her, and he couldn't even do that. so, there he sat, in the watch tower alone and continued to stare out into the nothingness of the night all to avoid confrontation.
