My mom.... got a book on understanding Gender Dysphoria. She has barely any free time to read generally speaking, but she’s choosing to dedicate what time she has to trying to understand me better.

.... I’m still so stunned that she not only accepts me the way I am, and accepts the way I want to live my life (she’s always wanted grandkids and to ‘be with me through pregnancy’, but I’m Ace and Trans and really don’t want biological kids of my own, but am open to fostering or adopting), but she’s actively trying to understand and respect me.

..... Huh.....

My mom actually... asked me questions about what Queer meant. And history of the LGBT. Because she genuinely wanted to try and understand.

I just wanna take a moment to say something.

Even something as small or simple as sending a funny video to someone could save their life.

Even something as small as asking about something they’re working on can save their life.

Even something as small as leaving a nice comment on a creative work they did, be it art, writing, video, what have you, can save their life.

Sometimes, that’s all it takes. Sometimes, that’s all you need to hold on to in the moment.

Because most times? It’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference.

I think people underestimate how powerful these things can be #it doesn't have to be something grand #or something that takes a lot of energy #or effort to do #and let this be a reminder to those with anxiety as well #if you say something nice to someone #there is almost no chance they'll take it badly.#if you send a funny or sweet video #there is very little chance they'll take it badly #sometimes they just need that #they need that moment #things have not been good for me the last four or five days #they got really bad one day #worst I've ever had #and honestly.... sometimes all it takes is a moment #a spare moment #or a video #or a song #or anything #to get you through the absolute worst of it #..... and yeah.... I'm under no illusions about how bad things got #but I got through the moment #.... and I'm-... gonna keep trying to fight through more moments #that's all we can really do #but we can help each other through those moments #it doesn't take much

You know, the funniest thing is realizing you look like Dean Winchester, then proceeding to closet cosplay him for TikTok despite having stopped watching Supernatural after like... season 4 or 5.
