I made height comparisons for the crews now as well.

We have the Strawhats pre timeskip:

Law is not on there (as he is not a strawhat) but I love the fact that he is so much taller than Niara. It's not that much of a difference with Neri and Zoro.

Then we have the Cross Guild members + Cordelia because she didn't fit anywhere else yet:

And last but not least we have some of the Revolutionaries:

I originally started to put others like Ivankov on the chart as well but then the rest of the characters were suddenly very very tiny, so I decided only to focus on the five that were featured in the short stories I wrote.

In regards to my new character Mizuki Midori I made a height chart for the marines too:

Ideas that first popped into my mind when certain OCs came to exist… Neri: it's a show about pirates, there's GOT to be a mermaid Niara: I want a character that uses a devil fruit mmmh what about plants/flowers (strangely enough, none of my pokemon oc's ever cared much about the grass type lol) Azura: I want a cool sword fighting lady Cordelia: I want a hot fierce type of character that looks good in black and that doesn't take anyone's crap Ellaria: came into the picture much later, I only recently decided somewhat on her looks, only things I know for sure is pale green eyes and can sort of see the future. Might never make it into any kind of story but she popped into my mind so here we go. Ginny: falls into the category "looks cute but can probably kill you".

Does Niara compete in Dressrosa for Ace's devil fruit?

I think yes. She's rather new to the crew so (if she were a canon character) it would make sense for her to stay with the Strawhats that fought in Dressrosa to show her to the audience. And with only half the Strawhats there, there's more spotlight to shine on her.

I don't think she'd be much use in the colosseum to be honest though. Sure, she trained for two years after Luffy invited her to join the crew, but she still has a long way to go. However, she would definitely have her mind set on fighting to get her hands on Ace's devil fruit.

I want her there for another reason though and that's her connection to Ginny. Ginny is a prisoner is Dressrosa at this point and also set to fight in the colosseum. I would want the two of them to meet again. There's history between them and both of them blame each other for many things. A fight between them would also be interesting to see. Although Niara has a devil fruit power and Ginny doesn't, I'd say Niara would lose this fight. Unlike Ginny, who is aggressive, angry and wants to win at all cost and lashes out at everyone around here, Niara would actually try to get Ginny on their side, knowing they have the same goal. It wouldn't work though. Niara would be out first, and then Luffy will have to leave. Niara offers to take his disguise and try to fight instead of him but they both know she would not win against the remaining fighters. Eventually, Niara persuades him to trust Ginny because Ginny winning is still a long shot but a) she's still in the game and b) better Ginny, who was close to Ace once, gets some fire power then the rest of those people.

And that's when Sabo shows himself and then takes Luffy's place. That is another reason I want Niara there, so she can meet Ace's other brother (and so can Ginny). It's more important for Ginny, because she and Sabo have to fight together (Sabo wins the fight and gets the Mera Mera no Mi) but he's impressed by her and (I think I wrote a short story about this) offers her a place in the Revolutionary Army. Still, I want Niara and Sabo have a conversation too and get to know each other. Idk if they would become close since (at least in the manga) Sabo hasn't met the Strawhats again so far (the showed up in 1-2 movies I think) but I want Niara and Sabo at least have a good relationship at some point although he will be much closer with Ginny. As for Niara and Ginny, they might never be besties, but they also have different lives now, so when they occasionally meet up, they'll be fine with each other. They, too, will need to have a final conversation in Dressrosa.

All this places Neri in the other group that goes straight on to Zou btw. and she later joins the other when they go rescue Sanji in Whole Cake Island (which also makes more sense for her since she a) would not be of much help in Dressrosa and b) knows Sanji ever since she joined all the way back in the East Blue Saga).

I was asked if all of my One Piece OCs belong in the same universe... and I mean they totally could?

Neri is the first of them to join the strawhats. She joins all the way back in the East Blue when there's still only Luffy, Zoro and Nami.

Niara first meets Luffy at Marineford, gets saved and ends up on Amazon Lily with him, where they bond over [Spoiler] and when Luffy decides his crew should train for two years and they'll all meet up again afterwards, he extends an invitation to Niara which she accepts. So she joins them after the timeskip on Sabaody and travels to Fishmen Island with them.

Azura is a Warlord of the Sea, so they'll meet her eventually. Zoro goes against her in a swordfight and loses. (He will win eventually at some point after the timeskip) Azura's long term is to take down the World Government and she will learn that they're not the final enemy. I think eventually she will form alliances with the Revolutinary Army... perhaps other former warlords and/or Cross Guild? I don't see her joining the Strawhats though. But I can see her starting to support or at least tolerate Luffy at some point.

Cordelia is tricky to answer because I haven't decided yet where she will turn up and who will have taken her in and where she actually comes from. I think she will work at a bar at the beginning but I can absolutely see her joining a pirate crew later on. Maybe she'll join one of the Supernova's crews, who knows.

Ginny will be at Marineford but I don't think she will interact with Luffy there. Maybe with Niara since most likely they've both been in Ace's crew at the same time and if so, they are not friends. Ginny will show up again in Dressrosa where she's forced to compete in the arena and is trying to get her hands on Ace's devil fruit. There she'll meet at the Strawhats, Law and Sabo and the others from the Revolutionary Army and she will be taken in by them.

And Ellaria will mostly interact with the Revolutionary Army and the people they come in contact with, perhaps the Strawhats too. There will be a time when she's doing her own thing too but that's still undecided. Anyway, she's not going to be a Strawhat either.

I was recently thinking of adding a marine, but... I already have six OCs, so maybe that should be enough...
