I was wondering if you got any tips on making sprites for characters. I adore the artstyle and it very much an inspiration, that's why I have come to ask this. It's alright if you have no tips, I thought thought asking wouldn't hurt ^^"

I’m not as good giving advice but I’ll try my best ;V;

First of all, I use the program Paint tool sai2 for the sprites!

I recommend you that before doing sprites you have at least a clean drawing of your character and what kind of personality is going to have.

Once you have a strong concept for your character, visually and on well character choose a pose and doing it accordingly to your character’s personality, if they are upbeat or shy they would have a different way of just staying still, maybe the upbeat character has hands on the waist and their head up, meanwhile, a shy character will be with their head down and hands close to the chest or on the pockets, etc, etc.

Don’t do something like just have them with their hands up or doing a perpetual hand gesture that will clash with certain expressions and situations like, don’t have your character doing the “peace sign” perpetually on the sprite or you can come up with an awkward moments like having that character crying and upset but doing the peace sign XD

Of course, you can do it if you are doing sprites with different sets of arms but that’s usually tons of work.

Oh and ALWAYS save the .psd/sai/whatever file safe in case you need to do some extra edit for some special occasions, also, this is just a tip in general always have EVERYTHING in different layers, the line of the body, the hair, the horns, the arms, the hands, the clothes, same with the color of everything, then if you need to edit something is way easier.

Faces and expressions always separated and try to strech the expressions, don’t be afraid of your characters looking a bit silly or even ugly, it only adds up to how real and sympathetic are the sprites.

God that is such a cool plant

right? I’ve had lime green leaves from this plant before (or well, one of them) but this is straight up bright vibrant yellow. I haven’t even been able to find any pics of this online. Even though it’s a super healthy leaf/plant, I’m still a little worried that it turns out to be some kind of super weird disease or something. But I’m also kinda worried that it’s not a weird disease and just a straight up bonkers mutation and I’ll never see it again.

Give me more healthy yellow leaves plant, please

FUCK. i still need to get one of those. i was gonna get more pots today (which was legit the only reason i went to the store) and walked away with 1 pot with drainage.......cup? and mr “got my dick out” root.

then again i was also super super tempted to buy the little olive tree i saw in the store....and i want a fig tree as well...and i want one of those other monsteras with the “whole” leaves with many holes in it. and i want a tiny kumquat plant. and i want a pothos, or like three. and a dracaena. and a yucca, i saw them being sold at the grocery store a lil while back. and i want a caladium. and i want a coleus.

im running out of room real fast. windowsills could fit like...4 more plants that aint too big (and i might need to switch my begonia to a different place soon because its getting too big) and i can fit like...1 more plant on my table but itd have to be a shade loving one
