A preview of my KPop Demon Hunter OC, Seo-Yeon. She’s not a demon, nor is she a hunter. She’s an imugi, a mythical creature often referred to as a “lesser dragon” that aspires to become a true dragon.
There’s a few different versions of the folklore describing both what imugis are and how they aspire to become full fledged dragons. An imugi could become a true dragon, if it caught a celestial orb that fell from the heavens. Or it must survive a thousand years in order for it to become a true dragon. Another explanation states that they are hornless creatures resembling dragons who have been cursed and were unable to become dragons.
My concept for her backstory keeps changing because I wanted to go the cursed route but I really loved the horns on her. Maybe I can still tie that into her backstory, have Gwi-Ma do something to her since she would be alive longer than Jinu.
