5. which of their companions do they relate to most

id probably say... solas, because to me, solas is an outsider, not in his element, and i feel lukas is the same way, being as far away from home as he is, and feeling like he doesnt fit in to the inquisition. so whenever lukas just wants to talk to someone that knows just a little of home, he'll go to solas and hang out, trading stories and asking questions about his heritage.

7. who did they romance? how did that romance change the development of their character?

lukas & dorian for life :') and dorian... grounded? lukas, and gave him a reason to stay with the inquisition, to feel like he mattered, because before they started their relationship, lukas felt alone (except for sleepover buddy solas) and that there was nothing tying him to the inquisition, save the anchor on his hand

11. who did they side with during the events of wicked, wicked hearts? why?

lukas got briala and celene back together to co-rule orlais; he felt that allowing gaspard to come to rule would cause much unneeded chaos, and that helping briala and celene reconcile would give hope to elves & keep the country running smoothly with minimal chaos

14. are they diplomatic, aggressive, passive, political, etc.? how would you explain their personality?

swEATS ok he tries to solve problems diplomatically?? but hes not the best at picking up cues from other people and usually ends up saying something that should have been left unsaid. but lukas is a sweetie at heart, means well, and is a terrible flirt i mean really this child wouldnt know how to flirt if cupid hit him straight up the head. but when hes asked about andraste, the chantry and all, hes like 'u kno im an elf right. do u see the ears and the dalish clan. i hope u can bc that means i dont worship andraste'

2: What class are they? Does this reflect upon their personality?

Rue’s a rogue, and it’s definitely a big part of her personality. She was always quiet, always sly, and watches more than she lets on. Stealth comes fairly easily to her. Losing her arm meant she was forced to become more agile and balanced in order to compensate, so she’s very flexible, which of course lends well to being a rogue.

She also enjoys games of cunning, especially slight of hand tricks, with cards or small objects. She’s a trickster above all.

6: Which of their companions do they relate to least?

She has a pretty hard time getting on with anyone tbh, and it takes a long time for any bonds to form. Vivienne is probably the least relatable to Rue. They come from very different worlds, and Rue has a hard time imagining living Vivienne’s life. They also don’t get on at all.

8: What religion/philosophy do they believe in?

The good old Elven Pantheon. Rue was brought up to believe in the gods, and although she doesn’t observe a lot of the religious rituals, or put a lot of faith in the stories, she does occasionally ask for a blessing, or pray, and she wears Mythal’s vallaslin proudly.

Meeting Abelas is the first time Rue truly does entertain the idea that her gods were once real. That they once lived. Rather than strengthen her faith, discovering the Elvhen scares her, and throws into disarray everything she was taught by the Dalish. Meeting Flemeth shakes her faith even more.

Otherwise, and often secretly, Rue is superstitious. She carries herbs and trinkets to ward away bad luck, and won’t ever wear foot wraps in her bedchamber.

10: How do their personal beliefs affect their choices and dealings with others?

Rue’s pretty unbearable at first. She’s downright rude to every human she meets, and fights tooth and nail to get out of Cassandra’s care. She calls Solas a flat-ear, and tries to attack anyone that gets near her.

She’s spent her entire life in fear of human society, and to find herself a puppet in their religious chaos is literally a nightmare. So her culture greatly affects her dealings with others, and her choices. She’s fairly pro-mage, seeing as the Dalish revere and respect magic, and vehemently anti-Templar. The Chantry, in her opinion, needs a great deal of reform, but she also respects the fact that humans have their own god, and that they worship him in their own way. She would do almost anything to protect elves, not just Dalish, and so her intent is usually to further rights for elves in some way. She has a vision of revolution, so she’s always trying to take small steps towards it, and that shows in her decisions as Inquisitor.
