Angel- Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your style?
Robb - Growing up I had so Many Influences and Genres of Music I listened to. I would have to say if I had to pick 5 People who influenced me it would be : Rob Cavestany from Death Angel, Dave Mustaine from Megadeth , Robyn Crosby of Ratt, Jeff Hanaman of Slayer and Iron Maiden ( I will say Black sabbath and Ozzy had a HUGE influence as well) But then you have other people or bands that came up later Zakk Wylde and Black LAbel Society, and the Almighty Lamb of God. These bands shaped my style because of harmonizing, the skills on the guitar or the bass stuck out or Vocally Randy Blyth is amazing SPEED is a huge implement.
Jonathan- My biggest influences musically are Dimebag Darrell, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Dave Mustaine, and my grandfather. they've all shaped who I am as a person and as a player in many ways, my grandfather was the whole reason I started playing guitar and after years of playing SRV got me started in lead, Dimebag took those leads to a whole new level and dave Tightened my rhythm playing, which all you'll hear on the new album🤘
Angel- What’s something you listen to that might surprise people, given the music you make?
Robb- Like I said Growing up and having music in the house all the time there was Abba, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beegees, Bach, Beetovan, Micheal Jackson, W.A.S.P. Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Duran Duran. some people may not know this but I LOVE playing the piano, the intro track to Demons within the song I wrote the piano for that one. So There ya go .
Jonathan- I love listening to just Acoustic music, not country or metal but just soothing acoustic playing.
Angel- What’s a non-musical skill, hobby, or obsession in the band that has secretly shaped your music?
Robb- Hmmm I am not sure how to answer that? I love Cooking and making killer food, But I guess it would be like playing Ice Hockey for 20 years. All the hits, anger etc helped me write killer riffs and lyrics. And Now I own my own recording studio and have my bachelor's degree. I truly enjoy when I have paying clients ask me to record them, mix or master their music.
Jonathan- Cars! I love working on CLASSIC cars specifically and I feel like having that knowledge has helped me by showing while all cars are made differently they all need the same things to be good, good tires, a good engine and a solid frame, just like music to be good you need good riffs, good energy and a SOLID line of players to keep it together
Angel- Who in the band would survive a zombie apocalypse the longest—and why?
Robb- I would have to unfortunatley say me , I say this because I am the oldest and wisest . and Jonathan is the youngest and the most inexperienced with life( Sorry Buddy I love ya but ... lol)
Jonathan- Maybe Robb, he's got the smarts and ammo to keep us safe but might be the first to get killed if he doesn't play his cards right🤣
Angel-.Where can people catch Ash to Dust live in 2026?
I guess I am supposed to Answer this one? lol Robb-Currently we are writing and recording for the next or 3rd Album. With that said depending on when the album is actually done? Will Depend on where or if we are playing out in 2026? I will Say we will be sure to try to play out of state for more shows in places where we have a really good big fan base like: Las Vegas, Utah, Denver , Los Angeles, Sandiego ,Michigan, Chicago, New York, the Carolinas, Pennsylvania. all the out of State shows are also going to depend on who books us and how much they are willing to pay us, What people don't understand is that we live in Arizona so for us to go play say 10 days out on a small tour, we have to leave our families, Animals and Most importantly our Day jobs which is how we make our income when we are not out on tour or playing live shows.
Angel- What are your favorite venue(s) to play shows at?
Robb- For me there was a place in Utah Called Club Vegas it has since shut down, In our Hometown Definitely the Rialto theater, The Venue in Denver Colorado, The Hard Rock in Salt Lake City. there are so many I would LOve to see someday as well. Just too many to name.
Jonathan- Ive played all around Arkansas, Texas TN and AZ but I have especially loved Laylas in Nashville, The blooze bar, The rock, the second fiddle and kid rock's bar in Nashville TN as well and so many more!!!

Angel- How would you describe Ash to Dust as coffee?
Robb- Well For me because I don't drink it I prefer Rockstar energy drinks, I would have to say Dark Blend , Blackened, with a touch of Spice, Death and Color LOL.
Jonathan- Dark Roast with a hint of Caramel cause we make hard hitting riffs with SMOOTH solos.
Fyi because Robb had to rebuild Ash to Dust Jonathan was previously in the band,Guitarist and Backing vocals. and Robb is the O.g. the Only original member since its inception, he is the Lyricist, Guitarist and Lead Vocals. Which means we are CURRENTLY looking for a BAssist!!! Backing Vocals would be a plus.
