Imagine where mostima takes the doctor out to eat at her favourite place?
Hiya anon! Tysm for the request, I thought it was perfect for Mostima! ✨ Hopefully I wrote her okay and did her justice, please enjoy! 🥺🌸

Stay Awhile
Imagine format; From the perspective of the Operator for the most part!
Contains: Mostima, gender neutral Doctor, Mostima warming up to the Doctor
Word count: just about 1.3k!
--------------------
To those who were acquainted with her, it was pretty common knowledge that Mostima knew a lot about all kinds of different places. No matter where, she always knew which places were best to get whatever one had in mind; of course, she had favourite places to stop by wherever she sent. More often than not, however, she didn't exactly have time to have an outing with people and visit said places. That was fine, the Caster was alright with visiting them alone, she was used to keeping her distance from people, but when it came to them, she found it unusually difficult.
The Doctor - quite the busy person, they were. Not quite in the same way Mostima was, but still deluged in work more often than not nonetheless. Even so, Mostima found that she and then had developed a warm relationship; one warmer than she had expected. Conversations with and assisting them became a typical part of her days at Rhodes Island.
"Hey there Doctor, I'm back." Mostima had visited them with a delivery, but it seemed like they were still working even though it was well past lunchtime. Had they eaten? It didn't seem so.
When she noticed their stomach kept growling, the Caster decided to speak up, "Ehehe, have you eaten today, Doctor? Your stomach seems to be pretty upset." They glanced at her sheepishly before confessing, "No, nothing since this morning." Mostima made a small hum of surprise, her eyebrows shooting up, "Huh? Nothing since breakfast? I know you're pretty busy, but that's a little concerning."
She looked down for a moment, before piped up again, "You're quite the lucky one, I have a few recommendations for where we can get some good lunch around here." She smiled when the Doctor turned to her, blinking a little again, "Really? You haven't even spent that much time at Rhodes Island yet, Mostima." The Caster chimed with a small laugh at their surprise, "Ehehe, what can I say? Well-informed and well-traveled, aren't I?"
Mostima asked again, "So, are you interested, Doctor?" They nodded, promoting another small grin from her, "In that case, I recommend you stick close to me. We wouldn't want you getting lost." When the Doctor chimed with a small laugh, Mostima's grin grew wider, her chest feeling warm. After a small word of agreement, they grabbed their coat, and both them and Mostima were off.
It wasn't often that the two of them were able to be by themselves outside of work occasions; now that there wasn't any job they had to focus on, they were free to talk casually without any rush - Mostima quite liked it, it made her feel warm, and curiously, the Doctor always seem to spark that odd warmth in her.
There was a lot of walking down winding roads and tight passageways, but finally, Mostima stopped at a building cramped in an alleyway. "Okay~. This is the place." Wrapping her hand around the Doctor's wrist to lead them away from the busy street, she smiled, "The entrance is a little cramped, but it's not so bad once you get inside." Unconsciously, her hand stayed around their wrist, her eyes looking toward the doors leading into the building that were so worn that they blended into the wall.
'...huh?' Mostima blinked when she felt their hand shift from her hold, but the next thing she felt was their fingers intertwining with hers. She looked back at the Doctor and found them smiling up at the building. The Caster beside them was quiet for a moment, before a warm grin pulled at her lips, and she squeezed their hand a little hesitantly. Part of her wanted to pull away, but that fuzzy feeling compelled her to accept their touch, "Hm, has their menu updated? I'm dying to know." She chimed out loud, stepped forward and led them into the restaurant with a warmth in her chest at how she was holding their hand in hers.
Leading the Doctor down a short hallway, Mostima slid open another set of doors, her lips curling into a smile. The restaurant was a little cramped, but the aroma coming from the kitchen and the low chatter of the people dining took one's attention rather than the size of the place. The Caster allowed the Doctor to step into the restaurant, her smile widening when she noticed the surprised look on their face. The inside of the restaurant was quite the stark contrast from the outside. "Ehehe, are you surprised, Doctor?" Mostima spoke up, letting them follow her toward the small reception desk where a young worker was waiting to bring them to a table.
"This world holds countless surprises like this restaurant. Maybe one day I'll tell you about some of them." Thanking the young employee for leading them to a table, Mostima motioned for the Doctor to take a seat, "But for now, let's get something to eat."
They nodded, watching as the Caster opened the menu and scanned it over quickly before glancing at them, "Hmm…are you craving anything in particular, Doctor?" She smiled, "I haven't been here in awhile, but they have lots of good options~."
The Doctor blinked, shaking their head after thinking for a second, "Anything to eat would be fine, I'm sure whatever you pick will be great, Mostima." The Caster chimed with a light laugh, Closing the menu, "Hmm, right~. I'll take the lead then, but you already know how I feel about you relying on me." Raising her hand, Mostima called for with the waitress, taking another second to send a light remark to the Doctor, "It never seems to stop you though, huh?"
The wait for the food wasn't long, but the time Mostima and the Doctor did wait was spent talking, exchanging smiles and light laughs. This was the first night they had truly spent time together, yet Mostima already felt like they had known each other for lifetimes.
Once the waitress had delivered their food, Mostima smiled at the Doctor, who's mouth already seemed to be watering by the aroma of their meals, "Ahaha, okay Doctor~. Tell me what you think."
The evening went on, and evening it was. Attachment wasn't something she was known for, but she felt it that day.
Enjoying food in one of her favourite places with the Doctor felt like home - Mostima had almost forgotten what attachment felt like.
As they finished their meal, the Caster stopped to stare at the Doctor, truly taking in the moment. 'Hm. Doctor…I see.' Even when she was detached, they always wanted to create a relationship. Mostima, however, wasn't against it - they were going to keep trying, and secretly, she hoped they would.
"That was delicious, Mostima. Thank you for bringing me here." The Doctor smiled, wiping their mouth. "Tonight was great." Something in their tone told her they obviously wanted the night to go along a little while longer, but as always, they expected the Caster to be off on her own duties again, as per usual. But Mostima wasn't in any rush to leave this time, and she almost seemed hesitant.
Goodness, this wasn't like her; the Caster didn't at all want to leave, even though it was the most appropriate time to. The hours she spent with the Doctor was enough for that day, so why did she want to spend more?
Sighing lightly, she let a small smile come to her face. Maybe she could accept the Doctor's warmth into her life, just maybe.
Picking up the menu, Mostima grinned at them, "Doctor, do you like ice cream? I wouldn't mind staying for dessert." Though the Doctor seemed to be surprised, they nodded, with a wide smile on their face, "Only if you can stay, Mostima."
For the first time in a long time, she wanted to stay for just a little while longer. A smile came to Mostima's face, genuine and almost warm, "Ehehe, if it's with you, I can stay a little while longer."
He’s so cute! Ive fallen in love with his soft colors. Also Bison are some of my favorite animals!
Mostima's reaction to seeing that Bison is also contracted to Rhodes Island. While Doctor deals with Bison who's first day isn't exactly easy either ?
Tysm for the request anon! ✨ I liked the ideo of Bison's first day at Rhodes Island going bad and him being able to relate to the Doctor who didn't exactly have the smoothest start either loll 💞 anyways, let the event imagines begin! I hope I did both Bison and Mostima justice 🌸🥺

Another Hectic Start

--------------------
How many rough starts could one person have? There was no possible way it could've been really happening; Bison was dreaming, he was sure. But, losing packages, bumping into people, tripping and falling on air, and getting completely lost didn't seem like things that would be in something as pleasant as a dream. Maybe it would be better described as a nightmare, but unfortunately, Bison was quite conscious.
The Forte had arrived at Rhodes Island early in the morning, bright and ready to put his best foot toward. He had contact with them before, but today was to be the day he began his work under Rhodes Island Pharmaceutical Inc. as per his contract. The opportunity to visit new places always excited him, but he was there for business purposes, so he had to stay focused.
Well, unfortunately, it seemed like the whole world was against him that day. He hadn't even met the person who he had to talk with about his contract yet, but he had already lost the packages he was meant to deliver whilst at Rhodes Island, bumped into multiple workers and staff; including a lab worker who left an uncomfortable stain on his shirt thanks to the beaker they split on him, tripped over his own feet in the middle of the hallway too many times, and gotten completely lost. It really was reminding him all too much of the night he first met Penguin Logistics, and it was too tiring to even think about.
Nevertheless, the Forte pushed on - he still had to find this 'Doctor' so he could discuss his contract. Bison turned another corner, looking this way and that. Looking around for a moment, he stopped before blinking, 'Have I…passed through here already?' There were so many intertwining halls that he wasn't sure where he was anymore. He had read the map of the Infrastructure complex that was near the main entrance, but now the location of the Doctor's office wasn't coming back to him.
'This day can't possibly get more eventful.' Bison had hoped he'd be able to complete his task smoothly, but it always seemed like otherworldly forces were out to mess his plans up.
The Forte wasn't sure what had gotten into him - he was typically good at keeping organized. Was it that the Rhodes Island complex was so big? He was usually decent at navigating around, so that couldn't possibly be it. Or, maybe; was it that all his surroundings were new? In any case, his head felt so fuzzy that he was having trouble thinking.
Bison sighed, tugging at his shirt while trying to ignore how it stuck to his skin thanks to the odd coloured liquid he had gotten split on him. He looked up and down the hall, his eyes stopping on a nearby vending machine. Maybe something to eat would help? Now that he thought about it, the last time he had eaten anything had been hours ago - something to eat wouldn't hurt.
Thankfully he had some change in his pocket, since it looked like the machine only took coins. Deciding on a colourfully wrapped granola bar, the Forte punched the corresponding number into the keypad before slipping his coin through the slot. Bison watched as the machine pushed this snack forward, and he waited for it to fall. Or, well, he was waiting for it to fall, when the machine stopped pushing the snack further, leaving it stuck behind the glass.
"....Huh?" Blinking at the machine, the Forte mumbled to himself out loud. The machine had taken his money, but his snack wasn't falling from its spot. Was the machine just malfunctioning for a second? It wasn't making any noise - his snack was definitely stuck. Bison huffed, hesitantly lifting his arms to shake the machine a little, careful not to break it. Even when he did that, the granola bar didn't budge. In an attempt to free his snack, the Forte then kicked the machine lightly and tried reaching through the little door at the bottom of the machine to grab his snack from inside.
"This…." Just as he was about to resort to punching the glass, a light voice cut through, grabbing his attention. "Ahaha, hey you. Is the machine giving you trouble?"
Bison blinked, turning around to see a familiar horned Sankta; "Ms. Mostima?" It was definitely her, the smile she always wore was easy to recognize. Still, he hadn't been expecting to see her, and by the looks of it, she seemed surprised to see him too.
She smiled at him, stepping toward the machine, "It jams sometimes, so you have to give it a little beating to get your snack." Mostima pulled a coin from one of her pockets, selecting the number for a small bag of colourful candies before feeding the machine her change.
"A little beating?" The Forte piped up, blinking when the machine failed to push her snack over the edge of its shelf too, leaving it stuck just like his still was. Just as he was about to speak up about how someone should definitely fix the machine, Mostima delivered a harsh kick to its side with a small grunt, causing Bison to jump a little.
Mostima smiled at him, looking a little amused at his baffled expression, "That should do it!" Just as she said, the two snacks fell from their shelves thanks to her 'little beating'. She bent over to retrieve their well earned snacks before turning back to Bison, still grinning, "I believe this belongs to you."
The Forte stared at her hand that was offering him his snack before nodding, "...Thank you." Accepting it, he looked back to Mostima, tilting his head to the wide a little, "Ms. Mostima, I wasn't expecting to run into you here."
Mostima chimed with a light laugh, "I'm surprised to see you too! I didn't think we'd see eachother again so soon." She grinned, placing one of her candies in her mouth, "I've got some work to do here, so I come by every now and then. What about you?" Bison paused, taking a second to finish biting his granola bar, "Me? I start my contract today. I'm still looking for the Doctor."
"Contract, huh?" Mostima blinked at him a little, looking him up and down, "Hah, you look a little rough! Did you run into trouble on your way here?" The Forte sighed, for a second he had almost forgotten about how much of a mess his day had become, "You could say that. I'm having some trouble…finding the Doctor."
Mostima hummed, "Did you check their office? Hm, well, come to think of it, they might be in one of the labs or meeting rooms right now." She looked back to Bison, smiling lightly, "They're a busy person, but compared to me, they're not too hard to find."
The Forte nodded, watching as Mostima finished her last candy, "I'm guessing this is where you take your leave?" She blinked at him, before chuckling lightly, "Ehehe, look at that! You're really getting the hang of me, huh?" Mostima stuffed the empty candy bag in her pocket before nodding, turning to look out of one of the large spanning windows nearby, "You're right, though. I've got some business to take care of here, but then I'm off to go elsewhere." Taking a moment, she looked back to Bison with a grin, patting his shoulder in a friendly manner. "I'll be going, then. Maybe now that we're both working here, we'll be seeing each other more often. Good luck on your search for the Doctor! Surely you'll find them soon." With a quick wave, Mostima was already off, disappearing down the hall and around the corner quickly. Quietly bidding her goodbye, the Forte sighed. Eating the last of his snack, he began making his way in the opposite direction.
'Hah, what a day.' It wasn't even sunset yet and he had already been sent on a rollercoaster, it really was odd to run into Mostima; now that he was supposed to begin working at Rhodes Island as well, they'd most definitely be seeing each other more often. That did remind him, however, that he still needed to find the Doctor. What a day, and he hadn't even gotten to his primary task yet.
The Doctor; where did one find the Doctor? Well, their name obviously suggested they'd be found in medical rooms, but their title wasn't exactly the most fitting - Bison knew that much. Still, where would someone like them be? Mostima mentioned an Office and meeting rooms, but he wasn't sure which of the many offices and meeting rooms she was referring to. Even after having his snack, Bison still felt like his energy was drained.
He looked around, there were stairs nearby, they seemed to lead to some higher deck. Maybe some air would help? It was a little stuffy. If anything, some fresh air couldn't possibly make his day any crazier. Once he had his thoughts organized, he would go searching for the Doctor again.
The stairs were a little lengthy, but once he climbed them and pushed open the door that laid at the top of the staircase, Bison was met with a pleasant breeze through his hair. The relief was definitely welcomed, considering how his day had been going for him. The deck was surprisingly wide, and the view was quite nice too. It was a good idea to take a small stop to get some air, to sum it up.
The Forte was about to walk toward the railing when he noticed a piece of paper blowing past him. Lifting a brow, he quickly rushed forward and grabbed it, making sure to hold it tightly so it wouldn't blow away again. Before he could figure out where it came from, quick footsteps and a small gasp followed by a hurried word of thanks cut in. Bison blinked, looking up to see someone rushing toward him, still thanking him.
"Did you lose this?" He asked, allowing them to catch their breath for a second. They nodded, "Yes, thanks for catching it, I was worried I'd have to get another copy." They looked at him with a smile, taking the paper back in their hand and returning it to its spot between other sheets of paper among the stack that was in their arms.
Bison looked them over for a minute; their jacket and voice sounded a little familiar, where had he seen him before? Before he could think about it, however, the person before him spoke up.
"I don't think I've seen you before. Are you a new Operator?" They asked, finished with organizing their papers. It was after they said that when the Forte realized who he was talking to - "Excuse me, are you the Doctor?" He asked, standing a little straighter.
At this question, they nodded with a small smile, "Yes, that's me. So, you are a new Operator, then?" Hiding his relief and thankfulness, Bison nodded, lifting his hand for them to shake - at least one thing has gone according to plan that day, "Yes, pleased to meet you, Doctor. My name is Bison." The Doctor shook his hand, grinning still, "Nice to meet you, Bison; you have a contract with Rhodes Island, right?"
"Yes, I look forward to working with you." The Forte replied, noticing how they looked him up and down, just like how Mostima had. "Sorry for asking, but what happened to your shirt?" The Doctor asked a little slowly. Bison blinked, before sighing lightly. Was it really that obvious that his day had gone rough? When he got back home, he needed a nice warm bath as soon as possible.
"Hah, yes. My day has been a little more eventful than I expected, and unfortunately my shirt got caught in the crossfire." He smiled lightly at them, "I'm hanging on, though."
The Doctor chimed with a small laugh, "You're having a rough start? I'm sorry, I can definitely understand that. My first day here was a little awful too, but that's a long story." Bison blinked, "Was it?" They replied with a small nod, taking a second before turning back to him, "I know you're here for a contract, but how would you like to see if we can make your day any better? I'd hate it if a new Operator had a bad first day here when I could've helped turn it around."
The Forte lifted a brow; what were they up to? Like Mostima had said, they were most definitely a busy person. Did they have time to spare for him just to help turn his day around?
"I wouldn't mind it, but I'm sure you have important things to attend to, Doctor." Bison replied, "Just tell me where you need my help and I'll get out of your way." To his surprise, the Doctor shook their head dismissively, "At least let me tour you around Rhodes Island? I know I got lost many times on my first day."
The Forte stared at them for a moment, looking out at the sky, "If you insist, I guess I could learn a lot from a tour of the place." He tugged at his shirt again, a little hesitant, "But, it's already sunset. Will there be time?"
The Doctor grinned at him, sparking a sudden warmth in his chest for a second, "If I've learned anything from my time here, is that it's never too late to turn anything around." They tucked their stack of papers beneath their arm, "Now, follow me, there's a lot of things I think you'll find are interesting around Rhodes Island, Bison."
Moving past him, they pushed the door to the stairs open, motioning for him to follow. Bison stared at their hurrying form for a second; he had only just met them, but they already felt like someone he had been working with for a long time. It was the warm feeling in his chest - this would definitely be the start of a beautiful relationship.
Maybe his day really could start going uphill; his shirt was still sticking to his chest, his packages were still missing, and he felt drained from bumping into so many people, but out of all of the things he had run into, the Doctor was the most pleasant surprise of the day.
Yes, he definitely looked forward to working with them. Bison let a light smile tug at his lips, "Thank you so much Doctor," following them, he got ready to put his best foot toward once again - this time for a more smoother start, "I'm right behind you, please lead the way."
Hi! Bison is cute!!! This ask goes out to him ! :D Bison as Personal Assistant of good ol' Doc to help him gain experience around his new workplace!
Hi anon! ✨ I agree lolol Bison is cute 🥺 anywho, thank you for the request 🌸 I hope you enjoy! 🎉
Oh also, I'm less busy now I'll be back to posting more often! ✨🥺 Thank you for your patience! 🍡

Bison as the Doctor's Personal Assistant
Headcanon format; written in second person
Contains: Bison, Gender neutral Doctor, reader as the Doctor
Word count: a lil over 1.3k!
--------------------
・ Bison is a little young, andon top of that, he wasn't that well acquainted with Rhodes Island either. Still, he was very well educated and mature for his age, which had to count for something.
・ You really liked him - he was very polite and helpful, along with being incredibly reliable. He was friendly as well, which was very nice since the both of you grew close really quickly.
・ Bison was still a little lost around Rhodes Island, however. As the Doctor, you felt it was your responsibility to help him get to know the place a little better - he'd be staying awhile, after all. You didn't particularly need a personal assistant, but you figured making him your assistant was the best way to help Bison feel less lost; and so, when you had some free time, you went looking for him to offer the position.
・ You were prepared for him to politely decline, as you knew he was busy between everything with Penguin Logistics, Mountain Dash Logistics and Rhodes Island. With a small smile and a wave, you casually asked the question after greetings were exchanged, "Bison, I wanted to ask; how does being my assistant sound?"
・ He seemed a little surprised, and his eyes glittered with a bit of curiosity, "Your assistant? And what kind of position would that be like?" You explained briefly; Bison would help you with your business around Rhodes Island if he were to become your assistant, you also mentioned that it would be a good opportunity to get to know the whole place better.
・ "I see, so that's it." The Forte replied after you wrapped your explanation up, "Well, like I've said before, if there is anywhere I can be of use, Doctor, I wouldn't mind helping you out." A small smile came to his face as he nodded, "I'll do my very best, thank you!"
・ "Great! Thank you as well, Bison." You grinned as well; you were glad he seemed enthusiastic about his new position. And so, after some paperwork, Bison was officially your assistant.
・ His first day on the job went very smoothly - as surprising as it was for him. You didn't put too much on him, and most of the day was just spent walking around and introducing him to the whole facility of Rhodes Island. The Forte seemed rather excited as you showed him all the rooms and systems, you really couldn't help but feel warm watching him listen carefully to you.
・ He seemed to learn a lot about Rhodes Island just during that first day, and both of you were really glad with how his job as your assistant began.
・ "Wow, the medical equipment here sure is complicated. I'll have to show some more appreciation to the Medic Operators next time we go on a mission, their job must be no easy feat." "Yes, I see Exusiai in the break rooms a lot, since she's usually playing loud music and having a party, but I didn't know there were so many." "This is the main deck? Wow, you can see everything from up here…."
・ He really did seem to feel more comfortable at Rhodes Island with every day he spent as your assistant.
・ Bison managed his other responsibilities along with his job as your assistant very well, as expected. He seemed to enjoy the job very much too - he was able to help you out as much as possible all while getting to know his new workplace better, so the Forte always found ways to make sure he had time free to attend to his duties with you.
・ You were glad he had become your assistant as well; him greeting you every morning was a great way to start the day, not to mention he was great to talk to about things outside of work, so you never felt lonely.
・ He wasn't exactly the most experienced in combat, so he couldn't help much with your tactical plans, but when it came to paperwork and the relations Rhodes Island had with other companies, Bison and his experience really shined.
・ He knew all the complexities of business relations, so having him nearby was a great help, and he didn't mind helping you learn a little either - after all, you had helped him so much already. He was very open to any questions you had and would always go above and beyond when answering.
・ "Just sign here and here and I can have the rest handled by tomorrow." "Yes, this part can get a little complicated, but don't worry about it, I'll explain."
・ On top of being extremely helpful with his business experience, Bison was great at assisting you with your paperwork. However, you didn't feel it was right to ask him to help you with your paperwork on top of everything else, so the Forte only began assisting you when he approached you about it when he saw you walking down the hall with a stack of papers almost as tall as him.
・ You smiled a little sheepishly at him after he took some of the paper stack in his arms, "Thank you, Bison." The Forte nodded, "You're welcome, Doctor. Wow, this is a lot of paperwork, do you do all of this by yourself?" After you admitted that you find ways to manage, he pursed his lips out before speaking up, "I wouldn't mind helping you out with some of this. I'm quite good at taking care of paperwork like this since most logistics companies require a lot of signing and reading papers." You don't want to bother him about it, but he didn't seem to mind helping you at all, so you didn't see a reason to dismiss him.
・ You brought him to your office so he could work with you, and he politely stepped in and looked around curiously, "This is your office? The view is really nice."
・ You didn't have a desk for him, but thankfully your desk was big enough for both of you to share. Bison pulled up a chair and placed the paper stack down before nodding to himself, "Let's get to work, Doctor!"
・ The Forte was very patient with you, and took time to help you if you looked a little confused. He was also very efficient in completing his paperwork, and you were impressed at his work ethic.
・ Working on paperwork with Bison at the end of the day became a regular occasion, and just like how you had helped him get to know Rhodes Island better, he helped you understand the complex business papers better. It truly was a win-win situation for the both of you.
・ Over the time he spent as your assistant, you two had grown close. Bison respected you even more than before and you were very thankful for him.
・ Even when the Forte had already made himself comfortable at Rhodes Island, you didn't feel any need to remove him from his position as your assistant; you had both created a schedule around being in each other's company, and if you were telling the truth, you would definitely miss having him around if you relieved him of his position.
・ When you asked him about it, he shook his head lightly, "Doctor, I know our agreement was that you would help me until I got to know Rhodes Island better, but I wouldn't mind helping you out for longer." You smiled, and he gave you a small grin back. You two were on the same page. And so, he stayed as your assistant.
・ Bison was always reliable, and even when he outshined you in certain situations, he never lost that glitter of admiration in his eyes when he was with you.
・ His admiration split out one day after you two had finished a load of paperwork, "Wow Doctor, you really are amazing. Thank you for allowing me to be your assistant, I will continue to learn more from this."
・ You smiled, Bison really was special to you, and you while you knew his time at Rhodes Island as only just beginning, you hoped he'd be able to spend lots of that time with you; "It's my pleasure, Bison."

May as Squad Leader
Headcanon format; written in second person but mostly from the perspective of the Operators
Contains: May, Gender neutral Doctor who's meant to be the reader, Doctor supporting May sjsjjs 🥺

--------------------
MAY
・ May is a bit of an oddball, afterall, not many know too much about her, since - regardless of whether it's legitimate, she's pretty busy with her detective business more often than not.
・ Still, you weren't bothered by her. In fact, on top of being quite fun to be around as a person, May had a lot of good potential and genuine intent, at least in your eyes.
・ You had faith in her, but people wondered where it came from. The Liberi wasn't exactly the most reliable Operator around, nor was she the most experienced, but everyone respected the fact that you saw potential in her.
・ With that being said, no one was expecting you to assign her as Squad Captain; not ever, really. Despite, during an Operation, everyone had turned to you for orders as expected, only to have their jaws drop at your quick order; "Ms. May is in charge until the Operation has ended."
・ Now, you were known for being a little outlandish in your plans, but to assign May in charge of everyone? Some of the Operators were mumbling about how you must've still been a little disoriented from waking up from the rescue mission in Chernobog.
・ Even May herself was taken back for a split second, almost dropping her little Taser, but the Sniper Operator recovered quickly, confident as always, "Ehehe, sure sure, I've got it!" Turning on her heel, she began pointing fingers and yelling orders, "All troops move out!! All troops move out!!"
・ You left the Operators in May's hands, but no one could really understand why in the world you were so lax about the situation. Nevertheless, they had their orders, and those were to listen to May while they carried out your tactical plan. That didn't mean they were particularly enthusiastic in listening to her, however. Thankfully, the Liberi was decent at knocking some sense into them.
・ "Heeeyy, heeeyy!! Be careful of shady people!" With that, May was off toward the front line, the others following, albeit with hesitance.
・ To their shock, she wasn't horrible at leading them. Her talk about needing to 'solve the case' and 'bring the criminals in' earned her a few lifted brows and odd looks, but her orders were easy to understand and execute, and were actually decently well thought-out.
・ "Split up!" "Observe carefully!!" "Forward!!" "Wait for my signal!" - The Liberi managed giving orders while looking out for her and everyone else's safety to impressive extent.
・ By some miracle, May and the squad she was leading took care of the threat; the mission was a success.
・ You reunited with May's little squad to find her glowing with a confident, victorious smile while the other Operators regrouped, surprise on their faces as they looked around the battlefield, almost in utter disbelief that they managed to win while following May's orders.
・ You already could see that she had done well, but you still had to ask, "May, mission report?"
・ Standing straight with her grin broadening, the Sniper Operator replied; "I'm a Royal Detective, Doctor! For me, there's no case that can't be solved!"
・ Word of May's success as Squad Leader that day spread quickly around Rhodes Island. Had she really led the team to victory? Even the Operators she had on the Squad were in disbelief, not denying or confirming anything. You, yourself would simply reply that May had successfully helped bring victory that day, and that everyone else should have a little more faith in her like you did.
・ You were very, very pleased with how her leadership that day had ended up. So much so, you had approached her a few days after with an offer.
・ "May?" The Liberi turned on her heel, suddenly brandishing her Taser out of nowhere, "Hey, hands where I can see 'em-...ah, sorry, Doctor." Your lips pulled into a small grin at her reaction - you were used to it by now.
・ May put her little Taser away before looking at you again, "I was on my way to go investigate that penguin, but did something happen?" You shook your head lightly, "No, I just wanted to ask; how would you like to be a permanent Squad Leader?"
・ The Liberi blinked, lifting a brow, "Hey, I'm a Royal Detective! And you're not my actual boss, Doctor, so why are you promoting me like this? Are you planning something shady?" Even though she was looking at you with her eyes narrowed to slits, you laughed lightly, "I'm not planning anything shady, May, I swear. You did very well on that other Operation where I left that squad under your care, and I think you'd be a great Squad Leader for our future Operations."
・ The Liberi seemed to hold back a huge grin, "Ehehe, a real Detective never fails a case, Doctor! But, mmm, about that offer…" Discreetly clearing her throat for a moment before looking back up to you with an aloof expression that was hiding one of utter joy, the Sniper Operator went on, "Well, I would be able to keep an eye out for shady people and look cool while going on all those mission as a leader, so…I accept! I'm very grateful for the opportunity; Thank you, Doctor!!"
・ You were very pleased, and May seemed excited to start. She slipped up a few times during her exams for the promotion, but after a few tries she passed with flying colours, officially being assigned as a Squad Leader under your command.
・ May's squad didn't stay the same all the time; she had a few permanent members that were always under her order, but the rest of the spots in the squad were left open and were filled with whatever Operators were also assigned to the Operation they were completing. Everyone who experienced being under her command were always pleasantly surprised with how the Liberi operated.
・ May only got better with each Operation she took part in. Soon enough, you began giving her orders and instruction less and less, and before either of you knew it, she was acting independently for almost every Operation. No one expected the outcome of the her successfully leading a Squad during tough Operations to be a good one, but no one could really complain either.
・ Amiya had spoken up about the whole ordeal one day, "Ms. May really did very well on that Operation, Doctor." She tilted her head at you as you watched May complete drills with her squad, "How did you know promoting her to Squad Leader would work out so perfectly?" You only smiled at Amiya, heart swelling a bit at the confident grin that May's lips curled into when the drill was successfully completed, replying simply, "Just a really good hunch, Amiya."
・ The Liberi was always a good addition to the team; her leadership skills had some room for improvement at times, but her optimism and her ability to adapt quickly even after failure was deserving of recognition; recognition those who experienced being part of her Squad soon began showing her.
・ The mentality regarding May being clumsy and unreliable broke with every victory she helped obtain. She received praise much more often, by experienced and inexperienced Operators alike.
・ "May, good job today." "Hey May, that could've been pretty bad, thanks for the save." "Wow, I would've never thought of that May! A great plan indeed!"
・ At any compliment she received, the Liberi smiled confidently, "Of course! A Detective never leaves the case unsolved or let's criminals escape!!"
・ Though she didn't show it too much, her joy about how successful and helpful she had really been to both you and so many other Operators was basically tangible.
・ May truly was grateful for the trust you had put in her, and with every person she gained the respect of, her motivation to do even better just grew.
・ After a particularly tough Operation, the Liberi left her squad to their own accords to go find you. When she did, you spared her a moment of your time; it looked like she had something important to tell you, after all.
・ "Doctor, there you are!" You smiled at her, "Hi May, I hope you've gotten some rest, that Operation sure was tiring." The Liberi stood straight, shaking her head a little lightheartedly, "Crime doesn't sleep, so neither can I! But Doctor, I came to say…" May quieted down a little, attitude a little more serious, "You aren't my real boss and even this promotion won't wash away any crimes you commit, but…you trusted me, and I'm grateful for you faith in me, and also…" She smiled lightly at you, "..well, it's just a hunch, but I think we have some good things ahead of us!"
・ May - and oddball she was. But you truly were proud of her, and you were beyond happy that she had come so very far. Placing a hand on her head and patting gently, you nodded, "You're very welcome May. I think we have good things waiting for us too."
・ Though she still had places she could improve, you were sure she'd be able to pull through, no matter how tough the situation.
