ђe’d have hoped they’d meet under different circumstances. One’s less desperate than being trapped in the woods. It wasn’t as big of a problem for himself as for those who’d need to eat--such as this young lady he’d met days prior to this catastrophe, and his now overly excited pet, Marie, who had no shame in rubbing herself against the young women’s leg.
At least she seemed in better spirits than earlier that day. She’d refused being near Samuel in favor of venturing forth and sticking to tree branches, as though weary of their surroundings--or simply plain upset where they’d both wound up. Regardless, he steps closer, knowing well that it’d be best for them to work together than for him to leave the seemingly defenseless women all on her own. And besides... Last he recalled--they were getting into some interesting topics--things Samuel had missed discussing about, but ultimately stopped trying to bring up after lack of interest among many of Hive City’s residences.
“ Are you alright? I’d have hoped you’d be somewhere safer than here--but it seems luck is on neither of our sides. How long have you been trapped here...? ”
