kailani was surrounded by hair stylists, makeup artists, her agents while she was waiting backstage to perform at the wayfinder festival. she wouldn’t say she was nervous about singing in front of all of these people, she had played crowds as big as these, if not bigger before. but she was still got nervous before almost every show, despite having doing them for so long. her nerves lessened once she spotted arlo coming backstage. “hey!” she greeted the other female. it was always a relief to see someone who knew where she was coming from because as much as she loved the people she worked with, they didn’t have the same experience as a performer. “if you can’t tell, i’m nervous to be singing yellow paint live for the first time.”
