[Help] system working fine till other day out of nowhere
(Its is the 25 at 3 am as I write this) The other day (20th) my system crashed with the 'Error Has Occurred. Hold down the Power Button to turn the power off.' message when I re opened my system back from sleep mode. I was playing Pokemon Moon and had gotten that before for other games so didnt think much about it. Reset system and re-launched game. After about a second of moving my character I get the error again. Power off system and take out cartridge then re insert it. Power back on, Luma splash screen appears then fades out like normal. System hangs on screen turned off, still powered on according to power light. Shut it off. Repeat this a few times with various other freeze points. (Home menu just fading in, home menu loaded with theme music playing but froze after moving cursor, freezing on Luma splash screen) Decide its probably time I update a9lh as I havnt since I first installed it way back in late February. Follow Pailect's updating guide. Every things great, figured that fixed it. A few days later I re-open the system from sleep mode (still playing pokemon moon) and get that error message again after like a second of gameplay. Keep trying to turn system back on like earlier, freezes at various points again like earlier and oddly the music for my theme kept playing normally when I it loaded far enough into home menu for it to start playing even though the thing looked like this. Finally got it to load home menu all stable and launch luma updater, which looked like this. Luma updates to latest release. Everything works again like normal, I play pokemon for a little bit then put the system in sleep mode and go to sleep. Everything worked jolly and I played on and off putting it in sleep mode and reawakening it multiple times. That is until about 2 hours ago when I tried to play again and my system straight up froze after playing for a few seconds. Its worse now. luma splash screen rarely even pops up. Rarely can launch into payloads. Consulted Pailtects troubleshoot. Delete home menu extra data and also replaced CHMM2's files with the recent starter packs version cus earlier I tried switching to a new theme after updating a9lh but it was weird cus the music didnt switch. I doubt thats relevant but who knows. I just know that when I did actually get home menu to load up (then no shocker it froze) I had no theme as expected and home menu re-created theme data and all my installs are wrapped up again like presents. Then I decided to delete Luma config settings off my sd card. Turned it back on again to nothing but after trying agian I got Luma settings to come up like normal and re configured it. Spoiler alert, nothing changed. After saving the settings luma splash screen popped up then the system froze. I decided to write this after finally getting hourglass to boot and tried to back up my NAND (just in case) and it failed at about 30%, then tried again and at around 10% the thing just crashed. (power and charging lights were still on though) As I was writing this I tried turning the thing back on after letting it sit off for about 10 minutes and got this
Marry fuckin christmas to me I guess! I haven't done anything on this system since Pokemon Moon came out. Haven't updated any homebrew apps, installed any cias, no firmware updates, dropped this system, had it near unsecured liquid, took the sd card out, had the battery die, nothing. The system hasn't been hot at all either so it's not over heating. Ive done nothing but play pokemon on it till the other day when it first crashed. I was thinking of restoring an earlier NAND backup but Im worried about it failing during the process. I also wanted to try the test payload on Pailtects troubleshoot but it was no longer up on megaupload. Im sorry this is so long but I want to be thorough in my explanation of whats been going on.
