REDFORD, MI – Redford Township Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night at the Family Dollar on Beech Daly south of 7 Mile. The suspect implied that he had a gun, but no gun was seen.
The suspect was described as a black male with a light complexion, approximately 6′ tall and weighing 200lbs. He had a short, sculpted beard and mustache. He was wearing a black Carhart style hooded jacket, a black baseball cap, black pants, and black and white gym shoes.
The suspect left the store on foot in a southbound direction. He was not encountered by officers who arrived 2 minutes after the call was received. No vehicle was seen.
