Justice League
I historically haven’t been a fan of DC movies.
Wonder Woman was such a good movie and I enjoyed it so much that I was actually excited to go to Justice League. Until I found out that the Amazons armor had been redesigned from believable, practical armor, to basically leather bikinis.
It shot right through me... Wind completely out of my sails to go see this movie.
Wonder Woman was such a breath of fresh air... and this change was so disappointing.
The best comparison I can come up with is as follows.
Remember 300? The movie starring Gerard Butler and a lot of oiled up abs on top of leather speedos. Imagine every action movie you watched, every super hero movie, not only had 1 token man, but he always showed up in some sort of speedo that passes as his “armor”. Now imagine that you finally get a movie with believable armor - in this case something like Gladiator starring Russel Crowe or Arthur starring Clive Owen.
And in the sequel they are back to wearing leather speedos.
That’s kinda what this feels like, and it is bullshit.
I might see Justice League, but now I’ll wait until it comes out on Netflix or something. I don’t want to pay $10 to be disappointed.
