I like how I try to make my character designs make sense with the period they are inspired by. Or at least make them functional.

And then there is Gavaris with nothing but boots, underwear and a cape. Like he fights with his tits out but maximum defense like a JRPG waifu. He took a platekini and said "I am going to do worse". And somehow he survives, what a legend.
