he’s never been one for goodbyes, especially when it concerned the ones he cared about. gavin figured it was for the best... for everyone involved. and he tried, he really did. he did the whole family thing. he played the part as best he could for his father’s passing, pretending he wanted to be there with the very people who threw him out. it’s while he’s pretending he meets her, his fiancee, someone who understood him more than he understood himself, who could see he wasn’t who he posed as. his proposal is what drove him back home to the states, after a quick kiss and a lame excuse of business he had to finish, he finds his way here. gavin wasn’t even sure if he was here anymore, maybe he moved, after all it had been what... a year and a half? he takes a deep breath, his heart thudding against his chest as he knocks on the door.
