Do you think the number of followers on Instagram (or just other platforms) is a proof that the certain idol is the most popular or not? You know, I just found out how these number of followers are that important for others, no offense😅 I just can't comprehend why up till now, these are used to be the topic of debate here in our fandom.

This is a difficult and sensitive topic! But I will try and give you my thoughts on it!

I wish with everything I have that our boys could be equally as popular everywhere. Have the exact same number of followers, the exact same number of views, the exact same number of fansites and biases. But that's not how the world will ever work.

But if you look at the number of followers on Instagram, I think what is important to point out is, how many followers all of them have. Because the number is VERY high, for all of them. The first days every one of them had almost the exact same number. And that just tells me, that most ARMY are ot7, and we love all the boys, and we all follower all of them - of course. It actually made me so happy.

The followers who come afterwards are not ARMY, but other people.. casual listeners, people who are interested in one of the members for whatever reason they might have - they like their solo work, they like their fashion, they think they are funny or handsome. And especially this one: because of how they use Instagram. As a non-army I think someone who actually uses their Instagram is more funny to follow than someone who doesn't.

I don't put much thought into numbers, and I think we shouldn't as a fandom. I think we need to remember how LOVED all 7 of them are, how any followers, views and biased-army they ALL have. It is such a high number, NONE of the boys lack love or devoted fans in any way! As long as we see all 7 boys get enough and LOTS of love, that's what is important..... Not the exact number. Do you have either 32 or 39 mio. people who loves you like you are a God? I think the difference between those two won't be noticeable.

I wish we didn't focus on numbers so much. But, it's easy for me to say... Jungkook not getting enough views, streames or not setting records isn't a thing Jungkook-biased worry about... But we have other things to worry about then, which comes with being one of the most popular - But I won't touch on that topic.

I have a very very close friend who is Namjoon-biased. And it is actually a very big deal for her. Namjoon-biased often feel like he isn't getting enough love from the fandom, because he is one of the members who get the least quantitative results - views, followers, sold out items and so on. It's actually something which really makes her sad... So I can't come hear and say it isn't a problem...

But I just wish we could stop focusing so much on numbers, and I wish every one of the boys would get the same amount of quantitative "love" - same amount of biases, views on fancams, followers on Instagram and sold items.

Thinking about how mentally strong Jungkook is.

Jungkook is going his own ways. He is doing what he wants to do, even though people are against him. Especially the tattoos are the no. 1 big example of this.

“This is the only life I’ve got, and it’s short. I’d never do something that everybody agrees is wrong, but where various ways are acceptable, I want to live on my own terms. I settled on this fairly early on.”

It shows how strong a person he is and how much he believes in himself and his own rights. There i no doubt.

But we shouldn’t understand this as him being indifferent and not affected about what others say and think about him.

Think about Bon Voyage 4. He felt bad the whole time for having fun… just because he knew him getting tattoos and those dating rumours made people angry.

Jungkook gets very affected by what people say and think. He is a very very emotional man.

And I think this shows even more what a strong person he is. Because it isn’t indifference that makes him get tattoos and piercings. It’s isn’t “I don’t care what other think. I don’t care about other people” or “I just want to shock people and make them angry”. Not at all. It is “I want to be myself, I NEED to be myself and do what makes me happy. Even though it might be hard”. And that just shows HOW strong a person Jungkook is. And how much selfWORTH he has.

Jungkook is mentally very strong, even though he is very emotional. Or maybe because he is very emotional and in touch with himself and his feelings.

So… it’s clear now that the new chapter means solo activity. The boys are each doing things solo and away from ot7. It scares the hell out of me… The boys and big hit have always (or since 2016-ish) had a very clear strategy, not promoting single members but always doing everything together. Not promoting solo music. It has made the ot7 stand SO STRONG, and especially not enabled solo stans. It has made the boys brand, their relationship and army stand strong and together. But now it gonna change. And I know what this means, I have seen it way too many times from other groups…. And you might say “BTS are not like other groups”. I agree. But it’s not an active wish from they. It just happenes. When everyone goes solo, some will become more populair than others, some will get much more press and focus - and a LOT of solo stans will appear. This will create a very very ugly competition between the members, and it will totally ruin our fandom. And members going solo, doing solo concerts, solo variety - it means less ot7. And it’s not like we have gotten much content from BTS the last years. Now they start doing solo project? I fear it means NO ot7 anymore. I think it’s the end now. The new chapter is BTS going solo.

Sigh…. I wish I had become army long before so I have had more time together with ot7….

I wonder what my baby is working on 🥺! I’m so happy he is recording something though. That’s like a huuuuge step toward good things, music, for us 🥺!

It could be for his mixtape or for the next album. Both things would be like a dream, a pure beautiful dream 🥺 I feel like I have been waiting all my life.

So, after what we have gotten so far - the MV teasers, and the PROOF Live poster (which btw, is a weird name, since the performance isn’t live). My expectations are very low. For like everything at this point. 

I don’t expect any choreography (they are sitting down on chairs), any concepts and (it’s clear from everything we have gotten now), any beautiful MV (the teasers?), any interesting or different visuals, no Korean lyrics, no epic masterpiece of a song. I love Life Goes On, but to get a song like this two comebacks in a row? With no dance, with no concept, and a very silent and calm song, which doesn’t really open up for any grand performance? It’s just... leaves me longing for more. I loved Life Goes On - but now I want some epic performance song. The boys haven’t been allowed to show their dance talent in a new song since ON, it has been 2,5 year!! And the concerts showed us, it’s not because they are “old” or lack “energy” or whatever people might say. 

The teasers makes the MV look soooooooooo boring. And the part of the song we have heard? hmm... hard to say though, but it sounds like a very silent pop song (at least that’s different from Dynamite, Butter and PTD). The teaser we got today? Chipmunks? Really?? That’s the song? Silent chipmunks pop song? 

I’m not saying anything bad about the comeback yet. I’m just saying bad things about the promotion material HYBE has given us - because it does make everything look SO BORING. 

Go back and take a look at the old MV teasers if you don’t know what I’m talking about, IDOL, Fake Love, Boy With Luv.... 

And yes, I know, we shouldn’t trust teasers too much.

Am I the only one finding it strange that the tickets for the concert in March haven’t been put on sale yet….?
