Covid 19 - Le Maire, Arnaud Mercier, fait le point sur la situation Merci Arnaud, là, je me sens moins seul. Et ce discours était aussi clair que sans ambiguïtés. A la prochaine. Il y a tant à dire, mais pas trop à la fois. On est tous encore sidéré, médusé, abasourdi des proportions et conséquences du ..."ciel qui nous est tombé sur la tête". Je suis persuadé, que voir diverses courtes et aussi simples vidéos, des équipes dans l'ombre, serait profitables à tous les venellois. Je le répète, on se sent moins seul. Et terriblement loin, ici en local, des décisions et affichettes gouvernementales. J'étais photojournaliste, "je peux faire ce que je sais faire", soit vous fournir les images vidéos, nécessaires pour 1 à 2 mn, par personne, administratifs, élus, professionnels de santé, ... et tous autres volontaires faisant une action citoyenne et solidaire. (Je sors masqué et en bonne santé.) Respects. MM
Nice retrospective of Arnaud Mercier. I was lucky enough to meet Arnaud many years ago when I was on the organizing committee for an AIGA Currents event. This was back in 2001, and one of the things I always remember was his attention to detail, so much so that he'd often create is own fonts for use in his digital projects, rather than relaying on existing fonts since most were still only designed for print. He was an amazing designer, artist and visionary. So sorry to see him taken from the world so young.
Arnaud Mercier, who was the designer behind the Elixir Studio and co-creator of the Area17 agency, passed away on september 26th in Marseille...
He was one of the first to design amazing interactive web site using flash (it was flash 3 at this time) and shockwave... it was back in 1999... He also did photography who had a big influence on my work, the way he use colors and unusual composition... I found in my archives a lot of images of his work... My thoughts are with his family and friends...
