Arnayen describes him as a mess. He's loud and cruel and arrogant. But he's also deeply introspective, and emotional as hell. He's funny, he's viciously protective. He earned her loyalty in her youth through sheer power and jovial violence.

Leshy calls her a walking oxymoron. She's cold heat, she's burning ice, she's viscous and hurting and she's a mother with no child, and she hates and she hates and she loves so much. Shes chaotic in his way, and somehow, even BEFORE all of this, she had a vibe of "going to snap and kill us all someday" overlaying a Cornered Animal Rage that had him on his KNEES.

Still does actually.

But as for "hey why THEM?"

Arnayen loved Leshy like a Devotee loves their God, and now loves him for his willingness to call her out on things. Also because he's just. Deeply charming in how he challenges her authority.

He loved her for the constant feeling of "ah YOU will either save me or kill me" he got from her. And now? Its still that feeling. But its also seeing her at her most exhausted, at her breaking point.

They cannot. For the life of them. Agree on fish. Or fishing actually. Arnayen grew up in Anchordeep, fishing is something she was raised doing and she thinks its relaxing.

Leshy HATES it. Bores him to death and she won't let him just. Dive into the water and grab the things with his face. He doesn't even LIKE fish- which she's DEEPLY offended by.

Secrets they would totally tell each other: Arnayen wished Leshy had told her not to marry Eidon. Had forbidden her from doing it. She regretted saying yes to that fucker as soon as she realized what she'd said.

Leshy considered giving up his crown, the night they took her from his temple.

Secrets they'll never tell each other:

Arnayen wasn't planning to bring the other bishops back. She only wanted Leshy, and if he hadn't asked her to bring them home she'd have left them in purgatory. She still hates them.

Leshy knew Arnayen was a sheep from the moment he met her. He could smell her wool. He was never planning to turn her in. He won't tell her, because that would mean admitting he protected her until it mattered.

Get on her nerves? "Be Kallamar" hjfk. Be stupid. What does she consider stupid? Expecting a reaction opposite of the one you KNOW you're getting. Looking at you, Sariel. On a lesser level? Do not. Insult her. Do not mock her. Do not overstep a boundary you KNOW is there.

Make her laugh? Be Leshy/j. She finds bad flirting funny, and jokes that take a second to land. Shes also prone to hysterics when things LOOK silly to her.
