Voidpunk is a subculture that’s meant for anyone who feels detached from humanity or society. This could be for many reasons including being aspec, nonbinary, neurodivergent, or many other reasons. (these are the most common in my experience but it’s not exclusive to any particular group). The idea of it is to embrace the dehumanisation that one might face from society by using non–human personas and encouraging the idea that being part of humanity is not inherently important. There’s a common aesthetic within the community of an “eldritch” look, often with many eyes or digital/static effects but this is just what’s popular and many other looks can fit within the subculture, and you can be voidpunk without following this style.
A voidsona is a character a voidpunk person would see themselves in and is a sort of extension of themselves. They are non-human and are meant by their creator to be themselves without being forced into the box of humanity.
