Remember the "Enot aro or aroace" idea/theory you had a bit back? Enot dating sim as a representation of the societal pressure to date and that a "happy ending" involves a romantic partner. (ofc not what the devs intended def it was likely just "hehehehe" but)

what if enot is aroace, or at least aro?

they kind of seem a bit turned off by anyone reciprocating their feelings too strongly? they dont really seem to like rivulet who is the most excited to date them, straight up say no to marrying saint and none of the endings are super romantic?

it strikes me moreso as aroace person who doesnt know theyre aroace thinks they like someone but as soon as that person reciprocates they're like not into it, but they dont realize that and think they're losing feelings or something. or they may just be interested in a mate and not really romance. or the entire thing may just be something they feel they have to do due to whatever external pressures so they trick themselves into thinking they are interested ("now you must find a mate or you will die")
