Is it the track running in the background, your dog staring at the television beside you, a loved one coming home from school, or a dream you keep secret in case it doesn’t come true which motivates you? Are you moved by commercials of starving children, conversations regarding our nations’ competing, or traumatic memories reminding you to grind? Do you lock the door and pray for strength? Are you numb? I’m a social scientist because of the mirror. I pursue education because of its mysteries. I wire my mouth shut because it gets in the way of listening. I suppose that each has underlying reasons. I recognize that we, all, play a part. So, what are we having today? I can’t offer any solution or wisdom. Eyes rolling back from overstimulation, mind running rampant through itself, and spirit fully aware that there is a purpose; I find myself piece-by-piece with others. Not wanting to lose out on another healing, my soul invited conversations to transform my perception. Rather than get deeply philosophical, I am pursuing three things: wholeness, connectivity, and calm. Words are good surrogates for what’s ethereal. Let me stop before this crosses beyond relative rambling. There is a fire you carry which can either ignite or consume.
