What is the most underrated form of intimacy?

13. Do you know other arospec people? (Online or off)It’s funny, the more I’m open about being aspec, the more I find people around me online I’ve known for a long time are as well. I know of one particularly who’s arospec (not sure if it’s cool to name names so I won’t), and several who are acespec. I’m less sure of RL. I’ve attended an ace group a couple of times and know at least one girl also identifies as gray aroace. There are otherse I suspect but really don’t know.
Arospec asks Sunday:
How do you feel about love songs?
I don’t like how Valentine’s Day is all about people being in romantic and/or sexual relationships. I’m asexual and greyromantic, but that doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. I spend the day talking with the people I care about, like my family, and my friends, and showing them that I love them. Valentine’s Day isn’t all about romance.
I agree with you completely! I think people give romance too much attention- love is for friends and family too. Showing people they're loved is always cool :)
For myself: ehhhhh. I use it but not in a very strong way. My lack of attraction is both separate and joint. And I don't label other kinds of attraction besides romantic and sexual. For other: yeah its cool, good for them if its useful. And if they don't use it that's cool too.
(answering the arospec ask of the week: how do you feel about the split attraction model?)
Arospec ask Sunday: how do you feel about the split attraction model?
I enjoy love songs for the music, not the lyrics. I also like the ones I can relate to friendships. I thought they were all artistically exaggerating for a while though, and I'm still getting used to most of them being serious. However, it's very frustrating how few songs I can find that aren't love songs, or reference romance. In some ways, it feels isolating how few "universal" songs I can relate to.
I agree with a lot of that. One of my favorite artists is Taylor Swift so pretending romantic songs are about something else is very familiar to me.

What would you rather do/have than a romantic relationship?
