ICE has detained a Ukrainian father and asylum seeker. Dmytro Kulyk is being detained by ICE. He has no criminal record. He and his family applied for asylum during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2023. According to their parole in order to stay in the US, they have to re-apply. They did. Kulyk's wife and daughter's applications were re-applied and approved, while his is still pending. Because of this, ICE stalked him and detained him at a Wal-Mart parking lot where he was picking up a delivery. To add insult to injury, an ICE agent laughed at him and stated that he was pro-Russian and hoped that Russia succeeds in invading the sovereign nation of Ukraine.
Like all of those detained by ICE, please pray for Dmytro Kulyk, his family, and Maryna Ishchenko, another Ukrainian asylum seeker who was detained although she and her husband, Asael Ramirez, were following the rules and attending their immigration hearings
