time to get started on create

but first things first;

i never got suggestions for what to name the cats so i went with the stupidest posible option <3

i will make this look better later; i just need to actually get the press going

i love create; getting 6 planks per log is SUCH a satisfining feeling

ok i have run into a bit of an issue; namely that i have already run out of andisite and cant even make my faviorate toy (the drills) so it is down to the water cave i go

and it go time >:D

ok since i said that yesterday i slept; and realized by far the smartest next step would be crushing wheels (in part cuz ive never used them before and they seem fun) so i have pressed a bunch of my iron for that. i have enugh sheets for 3 cages; lets go to the nether (hopefully for the last time for a while)

was just digging around in a new direction looking for a fortress so there has to be warped nylyam around here somehwere it seems

its incredibly small but i finally found it; my bleoved cyan wood

this took so much longer then it should have lol; i had to use 2 of my incredibly limited rocket suply

on the bright side this bit is easy; just right click the spawner

its a shame monsters dont exsist; this is a double blaze spawner

i mean good chest ig but not that useful lol

i diddnt know backpacks were in this loot pool; its an iron one to. pretty good ill store the netherack in it

found the nether wart gardens and then soon after rib; there is no reason further to be here so to the lava i go

i have used so much iron at this point but its worth it this is gonna be cool :D

that took SO much trial and error but i finnally worked it out :D :D :D \0/

now that we have brass; probobly a good time to mention that this is gonna be more then just functional; as i think brass cassings are really pretty and they WILL be a major building block

well i did it so badly that i got a hidden advancement; but!! i did do it!!

and we have a route to renewable gunpowerder (placement may not make sence rn; but long term i want a black smith there so it is thematic)

now on to making a washer

i mean i got stuck in it at first but it does work

22 crushed zinc ore into 3 gun poweder. it isnt a lot; and long term ill need to go the crushed netherack route; BUT WE HAVE GUNPOWDER!!! WE DID IT!!!!

this is why it is alwasy worth it to read jei omg; turning a stack of lapis into just under 3/4ths of a stack of prismarine is so good; and i have gun powder aka 2 of the most useful mob drops in the game!! i diddnt even know you *could* get prismarine but no you just haunt lapis this is such good news for the arrow

ok this has been a very eventful start on create; but i think theres 1 more thing ima do before we get back to the building next post; rope pulleys. namely i want a bigger hole down to the anchent city for reasons that will be clear soon

now in order to get into rope pullys; we need super glue; and in order to get super glue we need slime; and in order to get slime we need lime dye becuse create is kind like that. now the thing about lime; is that you have a 10% chance to get it from throwing pink pettles into a crushing wheel; and the kelping from last time intersected with a cherry grove.

this is not even all of them

is 64 drills objectively to many? yes. did i have to go down and mine andisite 3 seprate times? yes. is it gonna be really satisifing tho to have a perfect square down to the ancinet city? mega yes

and as i look at what i have created; i cannot help but think; 'man i really need a sheep farm i cannot keep getting away with no windmill'

ok so my plan of trying to screenshot as it went down diddnt work as my laptop was screaming in pain the entire time i had this running; but; i did get what i wanted

namely it went threw a dripstone cave and 1) dug up a lot of copper and dripstone; and b. it exposed even more. now you might be wondering; 'arrow why do you need copper and dripstone?' well dear reader; this is where reading jei comes in handy; as dripstone blocks grind down and crushed copper washes into the same material;

so theres what i should realisticly do next; and want i wanna do

realisticly i need to make a storage room as my chest monster is BAD bad rn; however; i more so wanna go on an adventure (espically cuz i just finished watching minecraft live and it was SO good) so lets go find cactus

its a flight; but just due east past my new build

on the way there i passed a stoney peaks; so that will stock me up on iron for a WHILE :D

ok i was dottling around in the desert and mesa for a bit; but eventually i found it; somthing witch long term is gonna prove incredibly helpful

everything i got out of it :D one of those items can each turn into 40 gunpoweder each via create; do yall know witch ones :0 (hint; its the potion ingredent)

ya know this is most likely do the the back port mod i have being mildly jank; but tbh i really like that the pale garden in a shadw of the mesa is such a cool vibe

found some coral; so i just went ahead and drowned myself as i picked up the blocks

ok as much as ive been putting it off; i do belive this is the part where i need to stop procrastinating and finally make a storage room

now i normally dont plan in creative; but the last time i made a storage room i manged to forget about spruce so im using creative just to orgizine what log goes where

so fun fact; this has taken me multiple days. i dont like to clean my room lol; but finnally!! its done!! its pretty decently off the ground as i wanna make sure i can make a house around it

ya know; i gotta say; having that chest monster cleaned is now making me wanna do a pumpkin and mellon farm; but also like; i dont wanna i no like redstone lol

eh ima probobly just go netherite mining and then call this part done; having 2 diffrent colors of tools is annoying

in the most me move ever; i died in lava; went ahead and crafted up my three (3!!!) netherite ingots; only to realize i have no fuckin clue where my smithing table is. this feels fitting considering i made a storage room earlier todday-and as i was compaining i found it. why why why did past arrow put it next to the crushing wheels???

oh i dont think i ever said anything; but i did make a second hoe. i like my netherite tools to be silk touch and i knew i would want the advancement

ok time to get infastructering

so when i say its been just under 24 hours; that is true; but also ive been busy with things i forgot to document. im SO good at this guys

ground up everything i could use to make clay; and then determined it wasnt nearly enugh so i used my meger rocket suply to fly off to that lush cave i had found prior; and filled up my inventory and all the space in my backpack (about half of it) with clay balls; and while there found a new friend

this is hot chochy; he will need a better tank long term

when i got home; i set all that clay to smelt; and while i waited i first had the idea of 'oh i can mine for netherite and smelt at the same time!! this will be SO efficent!!'

so anyway i forgot about loading chunks. i do now have a netherite silk touch pick and shovel tho! really useful as i like to be able to see a visual diffrence between silk touch and non silk touch tools.

i then afk'ed in front of my furnace for around an hour while watching youtube. eventually i got tired of having the world open but not doing anything; so i got to planning

this is my map mod; but with all the flowers unloaded. to explain this a bit more;

this version is annotated (and desaturated idk why that happened) with things that are concrete plans. while currently it is dirt path; im actively about to start replacing that with bricks

bricks done :D i had only like a dozen blocks to spair that was nearly close lol

with roads in place; the next thing to do is start on next building

objectively strange shape; but i like it. im also out of diorite so i need to go mine more

bit earlier then i would normally do windows; but i think this spot is perfect for a sun room

idk about yalls but im of the opnion that sun rooms are just THE prettyest thing ever <3

idk if any of yalls watched mumbo jumbo's s7; but ever since then this is how i do gradients. put all the blogs in my hot bar in roughly the percents ya want them to show up in; and then place while constnatly using your scroll

it just always looks good

rough shaping in; now time for windows and details. and mabey a sky light i think that roof would look good with one

so the last update i gave was mid afternoon on either sunday or monday; and now its just before noon on friday lol; been a very busy week. this is not to say i havent been playing; just that i havent been playing for long enough sessions to justify making a full update here to myself

so first things first; i finished the build. and also; yesterday while on hte phone with insurance again;

i finally went ahead and farmed up some azalia leaves and oh i cannot belive i claimed the starter house was done without these this makes a world of diffrence

so around an hour after the last message in part 1; i was just going to my chests to drop off the flowers in my inventoryy and

i can now have an elytra

... ok it turns out the mod i always use for peaceful mode elytra changed from requireing a dimond in the center to requiring a nether star. why why would you do that i already cant craft a trident becuse all the craftitable recipies ive found on modrinth require gardian drops not in burried treasure; why would you make the elytra non peaceful friendly? whatever i can find a new one thats just annoying tho

ok i found a new one; and i have added image to the mod list linked in the pinned

ill leave a dimond to despawn on the ground becuse i like that recipe more; but!! wings!! yippie!!!

i have offically finisehd the audio book; so not counting time i have been at this either silently or with the minecraft music going or the 2 voice calls i have done on discord; instead ive done 8 and a half hours of kelping

its 1030 and i need to go to bed; but i am SO close this WILL be finished tomorrow \0/

half past noon on friday and IM DONE :D :D :D

now that its done there is a non insagnificat part of me that wants to raise the water level 1/2 more blocks; but im gonna worry about that later and instead just relish in the feeling of being done :D

time for the flood-ing-ing pt 1 (i hit the tumblr image limit :( )

step one; plug holes close to the (current) water level. im using spruce planks as i trully dont think they will be vissable after its fully done

and a bit of a gap so i can still access the flooded cave since it does have a bunch of useful materials

well at least its gonna be easier to get the sheep up to the top now XD

i want the record to show; that if i was a smart man i would have waited to do this till i got depth strider boots. alas; i am not a smart man lol

all holes exsept this one plugged; (as it conects to what is gonna be just a few blocks below surfuce level so it would be cooler watery; ) so lets get reddy to fill. ligit no idea how this is gonna go or how long it will take; so lets just get started

.. it has been about an hour and i just finished the first loop; i have definitly over estiamted how long this would take. getting depth strider boots has been moved to highest priority on the to do list; and i think ima have to make generus use of kelp tbh

im not sure if this is faster or not; but its definitly more fun and that means its helping. and also once i actually get started on create in this serise where 1 of the 2 most important mods is create i will have SO many belts. i still dont know how they work but boy howdy will i have em

end of day one and i already have to climb up a ton of blocks to see all the progress i made. kelp method is DEFINITLY the way to go when filling a non uniform donut space like this

and update the next day; i have had a trully terrible time at the dmv today so im going to the nether. as a treat. portal location is very much temporary; ill work out a proper basemnet to hide it in or somthing later.

also im aware that my opinion that corners on nether portals looks bad; thats why i made sure i had enugh obi in my off hand to 'finish' it. but also like; it looks wrong if ya do that

looks like we pretty high up; but also theres more wood types right here so thats good news :D

so apprently with easy piglins you have to wear gold armor even if in peaceful mode to pick them up this is annoying. gonna try to see if i can find some premade gold booties in chests or somthing

accently stepped in lava; at least now i have the helm i can go back and try to grab a piggie i only want 1

although since im home; perfect pick time

ok so looking at my map; the northern bastion is where i died; but i think to the south that square might be a treasure bastion; its closer and would have better loot so off i go yippie :D

knowing vaugely 'go south young man' mad that an easy trek; i only grabbed 2 since this is single player; no need to be exxsesive

i only wanted the upgrade template and the center gold blocks this is so much better then i could have hoped for :D

im like 30% sure i got all chests from this bastion; but still. i am not good at this

well since im home anyhow; i think thats enugh nether for one day

set this up with all the gold i got from the bastion; and man i love the easy [x] mods. just completely removes all crash outs from the game :D

ok issue; it seems that those might just be the only vilalgers left in this village; i cant find any others. gonna have to go to that much further tiaga village [villager there will likely never get a better house as that is to far away]

it took an entire chapter of my audio book; but i got 4 depth strider books. hopefully i will never need to go back there again

sold off some paper to my mending villager in an attempt to get more mending books; and the second teir trade is fucking depth strider

the human of my enemy stopped by as i got home; and having even a little bit of gun powder is gonna be helpful

begining of thursday time; back to kelp. i got therapy in 2 hours so this wont be a full session but ima do more at least

i cannot overstate how helpful it is for motivation that i can now see bolth ends of the circle from the same spot. so close to the end i can taste it!

ok so this one's gonan be a bit less in the game; bit more in photo shop

so i realized i should probobly fill yall in on the plan before i do the next step; since the next step is gonna involve removing all trees on the island and raising the water level considerablly.

now your probobly looking at that and thinking 'wow i can really tell it was an art major in collage; ' and to that i say thank you i tried really hard with this. but to the question of why; well its simple. the town name is gonna be Laquealde *Falls* not Laquealde Lake. and where are the falls going you may ask?

well its simple. im gonna make use of the fact the cherry grove biome has the best water in this game; and make a bunch of really dramatic water falls that lead from the snowy mountian; all the way to the nearest village. and on either side of the river the entire way down is gonna be a cozy cottage core town with a comunity collage; conected by a serise of bridges spanning the river constnatly.

however in order to not completely burn myself out digging the mountian to put the river in place; that bit is gonna wait untill i am far enugh in create to ya know; get drills n shit

ok so that crash wasnt good; i removed 4 mods from the pack (the 2 3x3 harvests; low on fire; and dynamic lighting) and i also incresed the memory a bit.

bit more running around and finally; backpack aquired

quickly drowend myself and got back so i could upgrade it; per the rules i set for myself when i added this to the pack i cannot upgrade further; and the only upgrades i can add are the crafting table and jukebox upgrades. and honestly im still not sure if i agree with giving myself this much free inventory space lol

but now that i have a proper inventory; ima go strip mining i think. i am SO done with constantly running out of iron

ran out of torches and then immitly found this; gonna mine up a few stacks then share my haul after :D

mostly ended up caving rather then properly mining; but still a very good haul

while the iron smelts i used my mining levels to do a coupel of enchants; and i got eff. 4 onto my axe; and 2 picks combined into the perfect pick. i vastly prefer silk touch over fortune so this is gonna be my new everyday carry. but this does tell me one thing; now that i have a perfect pick i REALLY need to get mending. however i also REALLY dont wanna as villagers suck. many things to think about

its a brand new day; and thinking about things there are 2 resorce gathering adventures to go on before we finish the house

i need a stable form of food; and becuse ive played farmer's delight before i know i need cabbage; that can be found in savana villages

i need 3 enchanting tables for decortive perpouses

and if i zoom out my map all the way; there is that horrible depressing savana grass color on the top right so lets go on an adventure

found the depressing biome; gonna make sure i get saplings so i never have to come here again

ok good news; i see bolth pumpkins and jungle trees; bolth VERY good blocks

the moon is now setting but i FINALLY have 4 jungle saplings; at some point mojang really needs to fix their drop rate why is it so low

ok problom has arrisen; theres no village in this savana. i dont know how else to get cabbage-and as i was typing that i had an idea. gonna need to grab somthing from the base tho so its time to repeatdly thow my self off a cliff and hope that keep inventory is indeed on like i think i did

back in my base and here it is; the nature's compass. if you look at cabbage in jei it tells you to look for beach biomes; and this compas is basicly just chunk base but actually in game so it feels less cheaty

also got a full boat while looting the kelp so thats good :D

ok while the cabbage seeds are growing; ima head down to the mines and see if i can get enugh dimonds and obi for 3 enchanting tables that i do not need

i got 12 dimonds and then used my hoe till it broke down here and found 2 dimonds witch is enugh for the first table at least; so ima do that and see if i can get a fortune enchant to roll or at least unbreaking since my axe is half gone

i am fully aware of how ugly this is; but we need to have good tools before i can use them decortively think actually i am struggling

... ok back to the mines i apprently only have 2 lapis really should have checked for that before preping to do my first enchants

found lapis next to a mini lava flow so i can FINALLY enchant lol

big sigh. after i ahve an anvil it will be good for combining at least

skulk are useful but it does suck only getting half enchants on all my tools lol

yah know; it is funny how my first reaction to the anchient city under my base was 'oh god should i jsut not use this? should i pretend it isnt here?' and then loot goblin brain activated
