Prompt #14

Oliver and Barry are both superheroes, which makes it endlessly hard to see each other. They are also busy people outside of their evening actives.

Cue Barry feeling extremely far from Oliver (both emotionally and physically), and him starting to pull away from his boyfriend to save himself from what he thinks is their inevitable break up.

Oliver knows the distance is growing, but he can't have Barry leave him. Barry is the light of his life, and he is the first person he can see him living the rest of his life with.

So, Oliver proposes. He takes Barry to a beautiful campsite, professes his love, and tells Barry that he can't lose him.

From then on, they don't quite get married, but they do stay engaged. And they try, they try so goddamn hard because at the end of the day, the love they have is worth any fight.

Arrowverse Prompt #4

Barry Allen was a lover. He smiled and hugged and touched and felt. He got attached easily, which is ultimately unsurprising. In essence he loved deep and with his whole heart, however cringy to say.

Oliver, on the other hand, loved through his subtleties. It was a lingering touch here or there. It was a look of fondness that never faded. He had his careful words and thoughtful smiles. He, too, loved deeply, but when he loved he was careful. Careful because he refused to let his darkness conquer another life.

Oliver and Barry were dancing around each other, not wanting to admit their feelings, but how they acted around each other told the entire story.

Prompts #8

Barry is super upset at Oliver because he continuously gets treated like a child by him. He is sick off it. He's not some naive kid who does not know the harsh realities of the world. Fuck sake, his mother was murdered in front of him when he was 11.

He just chooses to be optimistic. He decides to carry hope for him and his city. He respects and understands that Oliver does the same thing in a different way.

So they get into a fighting match about it and somehow it ends up with Barry's lips on Oliver's.

"I'm an adult. I understand the world and what makes me happy. Ollie, you make me happy. "

Prompts #10

Sara knows how to handle losing people. That's not to say it doesn't effect her, but she's come to understand how the whole process works. She's lost her dad, sister, best friend, other best friend... The list goes on.

She is good friends with death as she shakes it's hand nearly every day. She has lost herself to it not once but twice. So yeah, death and her go way back.

But everything changes when it's Ava. When Ava is close to death after a mission gone awful, she has never felt anything like it before. She feels out of sorts, and the normal grief is a far cry from her current emotions.

How is she supposed to deal with Ava being her forever if Ava's life is on the line so often?

Prompts #9

Sara and Ava have a kid.

Ava is super adamant that the kid has a very normal childhood, considering the fact she was robbed of her. She wants the most common Birthdays for the kid, for each holiday tradition to be celebrated in full, and for the kid to have the opportunity to play normal sports.

Sara is partially in support. Of course she wants her kid to have all those things she loved as a child, but she also knows what her and Ava's work has burdened them with. The child needs to learn to protect themselves.

So, they get into some pretty big fights about it. Of course they do, it's their kid. Finally Sara gets through to Ava with a few words.

"Remember when we tried to be normal. We're not normal, all right? We're never gonna be normal."

(alternative endings possible, just thought this was a cute resolution)

Arrowverse Prompts #3

Oliver started eating to survive. The exact amount to ensure maximal energy throughout his day. On the island, it was out of pure necessity. There were not many options, and he needed to be alert at all times. Food was not something to savior or enjoy, it was simply to keep him ready and alive. 

He carried scars back home with him, but also many habits of survival. One of those was food intake. He continued to eat controlled portions calculated for maximal energy and deftness at any given moment. Sure, it could be helpful once or twice, but it was overall no way to live.

And of course Barry noticed, it was Barry after all. On dates, sleepovers, breakfasts he noticed the way Ollie consumed food. 

So they have a conversation about it and slowly but surely Barry helps Oliver eat and enjoy.

Prompt #5

Sara is super protective over Ava in literally every single way possible. Like, they’ll be doing standard recon, and she’ll be telling Ava to be careful, and take extra protection protocols. 

Ava just smiles and let’s her faff over her because she knows Sara only does it because shes lost too many people, and she is in no way ready to lose another. 

Especially considering she’s never truly loved someone like she loves her Ava.

Oliver hates birthdays. Ever since he was young, he never understood them. What was so special about him? What was so special about the day he was born. Nothing, surely.

Mostly his birthdays were events to help the family business, which ruined them even more. Though he always loved the amass of expensive gifts he ended up with.

But then he realized all those gifts were nothing but bribes. And he realized all those people didn't care about him.

But there was one part of birthdays that Oliver loved. That was when Thomas Merlyn dragged him upstairs to his room, and gave him a long hug. Then, once they'd parted, Tommy would hand him a gift.

The gift was always perfect. It was a gift no one else knew to get him or something hand made. On Oliver's eleventh birthday, Tommy gave him a ring, knowing how much Ollie secretly loved Jewelry. The only time he's ever taken it off was to replace it with their engagement ring, 15 years later.

Maybe birthdays weren't so bad after all.
