🩰 - she looked over at him in a mixture of fondness and melancholy - something she never could fully school when it came to him. still, her grip around her disposable coffee was held just a little bit tighter in that moment. “james, it’s good to see you.” even if she hated it was within the context of this ship - something they both hadn’t agreed to be apart of. dangerous for whomever it was that had abducted them. “do you think we’re here permanently? or could we get released?” she asked, knowing he wouldn’t sugar coat to her - probably one of the very few to be real with her, how she liked it. “mutiny is also not off the table.”

💘 - cristina paused and turned to look over at jason with a blank look, “wow,” she finally spoke out, furrowing her brows and turning fully to face him. “that was probably the worst self-inflated thing i’ve ever heard and i hear myself on a daily basis.” she snorted, placing a hand on her hip and nodding her chin towards the locked cabinet. “what are you even doing here anyway, kid? trying to break into the medical cabinets? in front of a doctor?” she laughed despite herself, giving him credit where it was due. “i mean fairly i don’t give a shit, it’s not my stuff - but you don’t have to brag to me about it.”

🔮 - bonnie stared at the very oddly placed halloween decoration - or what she hoped was a decoration and turned to slowly look at arthur with a shrug of her shoulders. “i have to be completely honest here, arthur - i don’t even know where it came from?” she phrased it like a question but in truth she was making just as much of a statement. “it’s quirky though, i’ll give whoever did it some credit.” she took a step towards it, her brow raised as she prodded at what she could now confirm to be a fake skeleton. “if we dump the skeleton we get a free lawn chair.” she turned to look back at arthur with a smirk, “or we dump the skeleton onto someone else’s door without them knowing.”

||        “   OKAY NO YEAH,   FOR SURE.   ”        forgive her nonchalance. mary jane’s a little bit preoccupied with plucking the gross chunk of caramel off of her apron, seated on the countertop of the observation deck cafe. technically, she’s the only person who works here, so who was going to yell at her   ?   the weird mechanical  ( is robotic the correct term  ? ) rat that delivers the eclairs   ?   her legs swing, eyes bouncing from the caramel to @arrvw​ with comfortable ease. maybe she should be a little more worried, but the whole being in space thing has desensitized her, probably.      “   or you could  —  and hear me out, counter argument here  —  not do that   ?   ”
