dude i just got home from a battle and there's this loud ass sound coming from outside my apartment?? all my pokémon are crowded around the window looking outside except airstrike who is currently trying his absolute hardest to peck my hands away from the keyboard so i guess i'll go investigate. i'm so hungry right now this better be interesting

dude as soon as i make my first blog post i immediately get interrupted by my scizor trying to look over my shoulder at my laptop because he's curious about what i'm doing. buddy your 40 pound pincers cannot operate a laptop you're gonna break it

hey there, welcome to my blog! i'm arséne, originally from unova, now one of the top trainers currently in lumiose city. and no, i'm not affilicated with the sbc.

as seen very evidently in my profile, my partner is a talonflame named airstrike! he was the first ever pokémon i caught right when i got to lumiose, and we've been inseparable since.

aside from airstrike, i've got six other pokémon riding with me! (i know you're only supposed to have a maximum of six, but i've got a unique case going on.) here’s a quick rundown of my lineup:

airstrike (talonflame), my partner pokémon! he’s pretty gentle and analytic, yet easily the quickest on the team. he’s almost never in his ball since he likes to stretch his wings, so he’s usually on my shoulders or somewhere nearby.

blockade (chestnaught), a mischievous but big hearted girl who’s surprisingly fiesty. she likes to pull harmless pranks, usually resulting in someone getting a gift or a big hug.

escalade (gardevoir), often the most levelheaded and neutral of the group, and our strategist. i don’t think i’ve ever seen him panic, he’s quite reliable.

vanguard (scizor), who i met abandoned in a park and has since become the sweetest and clingiest scizor i’ve met. he’s almost always following someone else around, and is very protective of his friends.

skirmish (gyarados), a gyarados i rescued as a magikarp after she sustained a grave injury that resulted in a stunted evolution after recovering. unlike normal gyarados, she is very mild and easygoing, almost like a big old dog.

last stand (absol), a more recent and brave addition to the group, after she suddenly appeared and randomly saved me from rogue mega pokémon during the prism tower crisis.

fusillade (armarouge), an unusually blue-colored armarouge i met while she was already willingly fighting an alpha pokemon as a charcadet. she likes to go off alone to train for a week or two now and then, though, so it’s usually just the other six with me.

morning update on the bisharp, she seems to be doing a lot better after some rest! she and fusillade have been wandering around the apartment, i think fusillade is trying to give her a tour lmao

i’m not quite sure what to do with her so i guess she can ride with me for now? i’ll have to find her a name to go with my other guys though. i’ll get looking in a sec i think she just got vanguarded whoops

hello, thank you for the warm welcome!

it's hard to pick an unbiased favorite, since i love my talonflame partner and the rest of my team to bits, but i've had a huge soft spot for the leavanny line since i was a kid if that counts for anything.

as for what i love about pokémon, it's hard to say. i love how versatile they are, i love training them and watching them grow happier and stronger, i love seeing the bond between a trainer and their partner in both battles and everyday life... they're just incredible, really, and i'm extremely grateful to get to live alongside them like i do!

i think she might want to go outside? shes acting super antsy and on edge… any absol trainers know what to do?
