Trailer Parking

Yesterday I spent all day cleaning 4 old caravans for TrailerPark festival this weekend. It’s run by Art Rebels and the trailers are each being taken by an artist or a collective and transformed into an instillation for the weekend.

The one pictured was in a sorry state, having been home to something rodent-like until quite recently and with plants growing inside of it. It smelt like my Nanas old house and the paperwork inside of it was from 1988, the last time it was used I think. It had an AMAZING bathroom though with purple flowery wallpaper with little pheasants in the pattern, a round green plastic rimmed mirror and a green and brown Bakelite cup holder with brown tumblers in. It must have been a kitsch heaven in its day.

Another blue caravan was very clean and tidy and had a picture of a lady waterskiing in it.

The organiser has a secret source that she obtains the trailers from, all she has said is that she gets a great deal and won’t run out anytime soon (this is the 4th TrailerPark festival so far)

I know already what two of them are going to be but its top secret if you want to find out for yourself come down and catch some great music and an awesome party at the same time!
